I had some customers one day, the dad was holding their 9 month old baby boy, I acknowledged the parents and the baby. My daughter did this when she was about 2 years old, every time she saw a specific teenage boy at church. She would not let him go and cried when we separated them to go home, after church. Yes, he held her the entire church service. I had to literally peel her off of him. She clung to him like glue. He died in a car accident coming home from college, at the beginning of his freshman year. Babies see and know more than we give them credit. Their innocent spirits are very sensitive.

Most people a good people and would always look after kids. I LOVE small children especially, and quite often wish so much that I could just hug some little cutie and see them smile. I don't because of the times, and I don't want to freak anyone out, but it does make me sad.
, Im 80yrs old,, I got a new neighbor last year, They were a young mother and 2 children a little boy. 7 and a baby gir 4. , very nice children quiet family, just well mannered, I met him he young ladys after a month , Anyway and was sitting on my porch, the little girl walked around the corner , she saw me, took one look, I looked terrible, She through her little arms out and ran straight to me, and wanted up in my lap I picked her up OFCOURSE, not knowing what the mother was going to say I hadn't met them yet,, The mother came around the corner and just stopped and looked at me, , I said I guess this little doll belongs to you, she said yes, I can't believe she let you put up, I said oh, I didn't go pick her up honey she came to me, she said WHAT, , I said and she wasn't going to take no for an answer, The mother said she just don't let anyone pick her up, hardly ,except my mother, ,About that time the little girl put her left hand up on my face and snuggled into me, I put my hand on her face and lifted it up and kissed her on the cheek, and told her she was a beautiful little girl , Her mother said she's never around white people, and being so shy I just cant believe this, I really didn't know how she said things if I shouldn't have picked her up, well the end her mother said come on you got to eat now, she didn't say anything she just shook her head no, and we both laughed, , I saw she had groceries in her hand so I said go ahead and put you groceries up then maybe she'll go in, , In about 5 minutes she was through, came back said ok let go in now and eat supper, no still, this was not a screaming mother and that made me happy, because I wasn't either, , She said if you'll come on and eat you can have some bananas, She hopped down ran toward her mother and then turned around and came back to me with her little lips puckered out and kissed me, and she went in, ,As soon as her mother came home with them after work she go, t out and came around that corner with her little arms up, everyday for months her mother trying to stop her, but when they came home , if I wasn't out, she was peeping in my window,, She did that for 2 1/2 yrs, then they moved, her mother said up till the day they moved she still didn't go to people she don't know to hug her, maybe like the article said, This old lady probably needed, no I know I needed it, and from what a sweet little girl, I got it,

Children are also like angels God sends to comfort people just when they need it. I've heard of so many stories of people who lost a loved one and were hurting and some random baby walks up to them to hug them and it brought healing in that moment.
