Yeah, I was disappointed in that once I noticed. However, their response gave me a sign of faith in this company. I've had some negative responses from other companies in the past, so I was preparing myself for poor customer service.

The fact that you contacted them and they took care of you is great. There are some people that would have dogged them out and never got in touch with them to make it right. Which seems to be a problem these days, you get something, it's not right and never follow up with who made it and dog them out for it. Customer service seems good then and I too have a JM Avigator watch that is being discontinued. Well built, but is a little big for me. The kugs are short and point down so I can get away with it.
My experience has been great with Jack Mason. I understand that nothing is without error from time to time, so giving a company the opportunity to correct an issue should be standard. I really enjoy my watch, so I'm pleased that it worked out!
