Wow, wow, wow! Great video firstly, secondly all those that you featured were especially “Oustanding” but for me the two most oustaningish were the Lancaster 617 Sqd Dambuster diorama - so cleverly conceived and executed .. incredible!! And secondly that phenomenal Early Russian bomber from ICM with the Polikarpovs hanging from the wings … love it.

I‘m glad you liked the video, Grant. There were a lot of great models and dioramas at that show. My favorite was the other Lancaster-Diorama. The museum scene one by „Toms Modelling in Motion“. Just search for it here on YT and you’ll find two awesome build videos of it.

Some amazing exhibits here and obviously people have devoted hours of work to them, so bravo. Would just like to comment that there are so many that have missed the finer details that really make a great model, diorama or vignette.

The Euro Model Expo was in Lingen, Germany. It’s an annual show. Always at the last weekend in March.

You cannot imagine how I miss the golden age of modelling. I myself assembled possibly in excess of five hundred models for about twenty years, the bulk of them Combat Aircraft. It was so great! 🙁

Hey Duarte, thank you very much for your comment! I know what you mean. All the modelling shops do close and there is no modelling youth coming after us!
BUT I would say right now is the golden age of modelling! There are so many awesome new model kits coming out everyday, tons of aftermarket stuff and a range of modeling colours one cannot imagine. 25 years back, when I was modelling as a teenager, there was only Revell (at least here in Germany) and I was happy (yes, HAPPY 😂) when I found an Italeri-Kit in a shop. I am actually pretty happy that there is more diversity out there now!!!

@@TheModelorian The main reason is lack of offer, but also lack of interest. We used to have plenty of specific modelling stores, with shelves after shelves of model kits. There were models of everything! These shops are all closed now. You may buy perhaps 10 percent of what you could in the eighties, and even this must be ordered online, which is always a hassle. Japan had to a large extent the best manufacturers; all this is gone now. At almost 60, I personally feel too old keep making them and my eyesight doesn't help; but the _real_ problem is that the young generations have next to nothing to assemble. Instead they have the crappy social networks and computer games and very little else. But they don't care anyway.
@@TheModelorian Jesus, it seems that in Portugal we were better supplied. We had Hasegawa, Tamiya, Fujimi, Nitto Kagaku, LN, Revell, Airfix, Matchbox, Heller, Monogram, Frog, Academy, Esci, Italeri, Italerei and a Czech brand with a weird name. There was so much to chose from... 🙁
Regarding paints, we basically had Humbrol and Tamiya. That was enough. All the best! 😀

Incredible show, Very interesting to see the era and variety of kits built compared to USA shows. All models showed more creativity and attention regarding displaying in diorama formats. Attention to detail remarkable Thanks for posting.
