What gaijin is really missing is that the spall fragments actually tends to bounce around the tank hurting other crew members. Also gaijin missing something that when the M1 Abrams, Leopard 1 and 2, Challenger 1 and 2. When they fire, the gun barrel must lift after firing for a fast reload.
i don't know much about performance costs but it might be too much for the servers to simulate bouncing for every shot fired in a game, causing even more server unstability just a thought tho
On level ground, the Abrams, no. The rest, yes. This is primarily because of loader positions. It’s most noticeable in Leopard 2s because of how high the breech is relative to the loader. For the Abrams, the loader is typically positioned higher than the breech. This should also apply to auto loaded tanks.
You should get friendly with somebody in Anniston Army Depot so you can see the HSTV-L prototype. It’s a shame but they let it dilapidate quite a bit over the years. Some of the screens are broken, they left the hatch is open so water got in, and it lost hydraulic pressure so it is sunken low. It needs someone who will love it, take care of it and restore it to its former speedy boi glory.

On other less funny note, Begleitpanzer 57 historical video when? sugarstudd on the War Thunder forum spent almost two years and hundreds of dollars to find all the documents to fix the Begleitpanzer. In short : Missing Stabilizer, wrong Horsepower 600 -> 720 (Fixed on dev server), 96 rounds total -> 148 rounds, Wrong ammo weight and wrong HE filler amount along with some awesome stuff to improve it further like a helicopter radar thingy.
Perhaps if we're using RB as the measuring stick and spend all your time memorizing each opposing tank weak spot the HSTL-V as available in WT is good. But for most people the HSTL-V is still horribly broken if you consider it is 11.0 (?!!) and try to take it out in AB. Begeltpanzer 57 is far more competitive with a repeating gun and missiles at 9.7. Leo 2K has much better optics (again at 9.7). What we really deserve is a video raking Gaijin over the coals for their failure to tier this vehicle competitively.
So the other night I was playing subnautica, thought I was in the bulbous zone, turns out I was in the grand reef when I saw a ghost leviathan, I had a literal panic attack, hearing subnautica in the background of this video, I about had a heart attack.
