The Fight to Save the Hemlock

In "The Fight to Save the Hemlock," forest ecologist Donna Crossland discusses the threat of the hemlock woolly adelgid, a tiny sap-sucking insect that can kill an enormous hemlock tree within three to four years. But with a robust treatment program, it is our hope that the Hemlocks can be saved.
Hemlock plays a significant role in the ecosystem of Nova Scotia, which is already facing threats due to climate change and human impact on its environment.
