Kinga Glyk, despite talent and beauty, seems oblivious to this. She is so natural at playing and speaking, that in this world of overexposure she is an oasis. I love the anecdotes of her boiled ropes with her grandfather. On stage her playing is overwhelming, she comes from a family of musicians and it is evident that she has a natural talent. I come from neosoul and I'm really enjoying her music.
Fantastic! This girl is amazing! Do any of my musician fam out there know what strings she’s using here? I think Thomastic Infield “ flats” or Fender flats have green silk ends (I don’t know of any round wound w green silk) but they don’t sound like flats! Ideas?? Thx :))
Jürgen Huber thank you for responding. They look like Thomastic Infield Jazz Rounds, but the gauge of those are .043-.089 those gauges are a bit light to sound this good - but, I am sure she has fantastic technique and so it’s possible! Thank you
I've never been a big fan of Jazz, to the anguish of my father and hardcore jazz friends No doubt Miles, Coltraine and all those cats were geniuses to rival Bach and Beethoven, but their sound felt too "melancholy" for my taste. Traditional Jazz chord progressions never "uplifted my spirit". Then came Kinga. Kinga more expresses how I would like to hear Jazz, or even if you don't wanna classify it as Jazz, I mean, call it instrumental improvisational music, or Modern Jazz, or Neo Jazz, whatever, let's not split hairs, that's a waste of time when I just enjoy her sound....modern, energetic, and uplifting. And she looks so cool!!!!!
Hi Doug, if you haven’t already, it would be worth checking out a band called Snarky Puppy, a jazz, fusion band of the highest quality, with lots of CZcams videos to savour.
@@worldofameiso5491 I'll check them out, because I've been lucking out finding great new music lately based on recommendations, and sometimes sheer luck.
She has a fantastic groove, happy while playing and...she is so beautyful and friendly...is impossible not loving her!
