I love how he tried everything except just sincerely telling her he left teeth whitener on too long because he was nervous about the date.

Happens other times too, like when I see people moving furniture around a corner and “PivOt..piVot..piiivOt” with David Schwimmer’s voice pops in my head 😅

Loll no, black lights will make your teeth glow as long as you do have lighter teeth color. But Ross’s we’re obviously glowing like the lights because his teeth are literally white and not just some light yellow shade.

I dont know why people hate Ross. Friends will not be the same without Ross. Yes. He sucked at relationships. But admit it, one time or other,it was entertaining. Come on,its a sitcom and Ross is the one who made us all laugh hard with his awkward moments and expression. He doesn't deserve the hate.
I don't know what's wrong with hating a fictional character. I hate King Geoffrey in game of thrones but that was extremely well acted and a very good character and role. You seem to misunderstand hating a character with thinking that means the character shouldn't be in the show. They're completely different things.

If I were to analyze, the reason some viewers like Ross and others Really don't may come down to whether they watch for the comedy or the dynamic of the friends being friends. Ross was awkward and funny, always having things go wrong. The plot lines, however, almost always had him worried about his own life and problems. Yes, there were exceptions (driving hours to help the group stranded at a rest stop), but often, he was written as the least "there for you" when it came to being supportive.

It's not that unpopular, maybe it is now but a some years back, Comedy Central hosted a poll for the best/most favourite character on the show. Ross came in at first, Chandler was a close second.

Rewatching the series years later, Ross was the most insecure of the bunch. He was insecure about his body & personality(ex: teeth, tan, leather pants, british accent, fake memorial etc). He was insecure about his relationships(stemming from Carol), his job/interests(the group constantly made fun of the latter two). People argue that Ross was "toxic" and he certainly had flaws, but I thought it made him human and relatable. Last point, intentional or not, I like that the writers wrote those traits for a male character. We're so used to seeing those traits in female characters that it was a nice change up. I also find it fascinating how people react when females vs males present the same traits.
