It works but it produces very small amount of current so use a low power led . If you use a 12 v motor than it will produce enough power to produce larger leds

Than you have to use a bigger motor otherwise the electricity produced will not be enough to light up all the led bulbs .

Yes same colour wire will work . You can keep the led close or far but don't put it too far .
