This term relates to the idea of reflection, similar to how light reflects off a mirror or how thoughts can be reflective in nature, but it doesn't specifically mean "meditation." So, in the context you mentioned, "reflexivity" would be more closely associated with the idea of something reflecting or being reflected, rather than meditation.
It’s always worth checking with your university or college in terms of what their rules / regulations say, but in my experience, reflexive and reflective content on dissertations can be in the first person.

Isn't everything supposed to be in third person? Or reflexive statements can be in first person?
