Serge Lutens has been one of my idols for years. His diversity with regards to how many different hats he wears, if you will, is something I try myself to attain. I have his book and it is like the holy grail of inspiration from a visual perspective. All that said, my favorite scent of his is Fille en Aiguilles. This is a gorgeous scent to me and it reminds me of walks through the wooded hills I use to take with an ex-girlfriend. A nice blend of ripened/prime nature and romance...
Serge Lutens is devine. Each perfume is an art. My signature perfume is Serge Noir. Simply comforting, sexy and unique. Love to mr. Lutens and mr. Sheldrake.
Jeux de Peau was my first niche fragrance purchase a few months ago, and I absolutely adore it. Such a unique gourmand! I have a sample of Chergui that I'm loving right now, and I think a full size will happen next Fall. Arabie sounds really intriguing.
I've watched this video many times - it's the most comprehensive review I've seen so thank you! I have many of these and could bathe in Chergi! Today I received La Fille de Berlin and am not sure if I like it yet - the rose didn't last as much as I would have liked and I'm trying to understand the rest of it - can't put my finger on any of the notes yet - can't really even smell it on my skin at all - but I'll keep trying I also got Un Bois Vanille - and was pleasantly surprised with the longevity
I love this house but every time I go to buy a fragrance I am overwhelmed by the variety and end up not getting anything. I need to buckle down and make a choice. Max I really enjoyed this!!
I would recommend Jeux de Peau or Gris Clair as interesting compositions that are very wearable but still intensely representative of the imaginative and innovative cache of the house. Serge has the loveliest jasmine...A La Nuit.
I don't care if they are good bad or ugly! Lol I find Serge Lutens fragrances to be ever so interesting and would love to have all of them and would love another video including others I know Chergui is popular but I don't know anyone who wears it especially where I live in Alabama.. I'd love it to be my signature and need a really big bottle :) Most recent is Baptime de fu..wonderful
Excellent review Max. I don't know how many times I've watched it. Miel de Bois was the first perfume I ever had to wash off my wrists; I found it nauseating. Not for me. The other perfume I've had to wash off and on the same day I tried both was Chypre by Nobile 1942.
Excellent video, one of my fave houses, I couldn't get on with chergui, sold it, my faves are ambre sultan, miel de bois, borneo 1834, un bois vanille, arabie, jeux de peau and rahat loukoum
I just got Santal Majescule- and am so sad I can't smell anything but the sandalwood - I'm really disappointed ! I own 5 Serge Lutens fragrances so far - Chergui is best on my skin, Arabie is growing on me, Fleurs D'loranger is also growing on me - would love to get my hands on Fumerie Torques as tobacco fragrancesseek to be a favorite- I'm still searching for one I like as much as Chergui - great review- thank you so much!
Hi, a new subscriber here. I love this video, you are so knowledgeable and passionate about ur fragrances. I have a question though, where do u buy ur Serge Lutens? Do u think fragrancenet or notion is a safe place to get these from? Thank you!!!
really amazing review, i have only chergui from this artistic house, wt u recommend me to go second in ur opinion, finally, the work u put in this video is awesome....tnk u
Max, wonderful video. I am interested in Chergue and Bois de Vanille. However, I have read that these fragrances completely disappear after three hours. Would you agree? Thanks.
+sherwood991 I get really good performance with them, some better than others, average 6-8 for the most part , I love the brand, especially for the prices you can find them at... ;)
I live where it's warm most of the time - yet I love tobacco, cocoa, amber - but would love suggestions from this house for warm weather - I'm so interested in it - love Gourmands
Fumerie Turque is NOT smokey. It smells just like fresh Latakian Tobacco unsmoked. Fille En Aiguilles....very resinous and balsamic, but not smokey. I love this line as well. Very exotic stuff all around.
im so scared they will discontinue Fille en Aiguilles, do you think serge lutens will? when he passes away will the company go out of business? i am IN LOVE with Fille en Aiguilles
Nice video but the tastes are different for everyone. Your favorites are not mine for example. The perfumes of Serge Lutens are anyway always very interesting and original. There are some flasks in your collection that I would love to own; my collection is pretty too (about thirty) and my favorites are Chêne, Cuir Mauresque, Daim Blond, MKK, Jeux de Peau and more! I do not know them all unfortunately ... Keep going, please!
+Ali Khan Hey Ali, thanks I've actually have been trying to find (Kublai khan), if you know where I could find it, please point me in the right direction. Thanks
What about SL fragrances from the Section d`Or luxury line? The line is very expensive , but L`incendiaire and Cannibale are fantastic ... if your pockets are deep enough.
+Max Forti Last 2 years i'm living London , and i'm sure you can't find Section d`Or line is US yet.I was told by SL rep in London that Section d`Or line will be available on selected hi-end department stores all over the world. He said that in US the line will be avalable in mid 2016 but only at Barneys. You can't get it from Neiman Marcus , Twistedlily or Luckyscent. If you open us.sergelutens.com/purchase/section-d-or.html#home it sais "Available soon".
A La Nuit.. omg.. or La Religieuse Serge Lutens.. Absolutely amazing juices. Serge truly makes master pieces. All of them.

I was told Miel de Bois mixed with Chergui is fantastic. Try it!
I managed to find Chypre Rogue at good price. $90. I must say this is amazing fragrance. It reminds me of all time classic Gucci Pour Homme.
Great Video...

Danyellow I’m trying Ambre Sultan for Spring & Summer. Amber is supposed to wear well in Summer, and the green herbs give a freshness. Enjoy!
Fumerie Turque is NOT smokey. It smells just like fresh Latakian Tobacco unsmoked. Fille En Aiguilles....very resinous and balsamic, but not smokey. I love this line as well. Very exotic stuff all around.
sphexes I agree.
im so scared they will discontinue Fille en Aiguilles, do you think serge lutens will? when he passes away will the company go out of business? i am IN LOVE with Fille en Aiguilles
