The most saddest and painful song in this game, Jill's home, this city, is ruined by the outbreak, imagine how she would be feeling, but then there is also a determination to survive and escape
Woah this track in particular really takes me back to the 90's when i was a kid feeling like a badass because i was able to play this game and silent hill at night time
Back when i was a kid playing this (2004-5) the sound of the moans and wind scared the living crap out of me to the point i wouldn't leave the first save room. It took me weeks to find the option to mute effects in order to "play" the game... and even then i never got past the RPD XD Good times, good times.
So much nostalgia. Take me back to those days when the Twin Towers ruled Manhattan and life's biggest problem was figuring out if that girl in science class wanted you.
Exactly how a zombie ambience should be. the backgrounds, the moans, the howls of the wind, the music. nothing matches this, its simply perfect. the glass and broken debree, its so well done. unlike most modern zombie games where everything looks too damn clean for something that should be a zombie apocalypse. this here. Re 2 and 3, perfect.
I feel like the Remake just rushed your ass. Unlike RE2 Remake where you can stop and look around. Don't count the Escape scene. It's supposed to be quick for a reason.
Solo de escuchar esa canción con ambientación se pone la piel de gallina y se vienen los recuerdos de aquellas veces cuando jugaba este maravilloso juego saludos
The ambient sounds on this are 2nd only to the track used twice in re2. Once on the back stairs of the red outside and again when you play as sherry ada to grab the club key. It captured a sense of the deep feeling of re2. Amazing stuff.
Ha! I used to fall asleep listening to this. It actually evoked some eerie nightmares at first but after awhile it relaxes you. The RE 2 and 3 remakes just don't come close to this magic.
Sadly I think the remake will have a very quiet, uneasy ambience with just the sound of rain (at least after October 1st). That's what the RE2 remake did for its outdoor scenes. No music, no distant moans, just a deathly silence. It was effective but it wasn't the Resident Evil we remember and cherish.
No resident evil really doing city exploration anymore, mostly just done inside an interior. If it does, it usually packed with action and you're given feeling to do everything in rush. I miss exploring the city in an outbreak, coming back and forth to slove puzzle or witness some event. In RE 3, if you going back to certain places, it will trigger some event. Jumpscares, dead npc becomes a zombie, a survivor getting killed. It's a nice detail to show how the virus spread and how life threatening the situation is. And it's all not for nothing, if you decide to go back, you might get some supplies.
This reminded me of my first time of playing japanese version and I tried to burn rope attached to the metal gate with lighter without oils. I didn't know how to go on because I couldn't read japanese. I just ran between city and Jack Bar while hearing this OST. That was my first time I started to play RE3 Japanese version when I was a little kid.
I'm honestly surprised no one else has really done this. The howls and moans of the never ending horde of the undead make this song what it is.
the dance of the living dead
Don't forget the crows!
Real talk. This is what sets the OGs (2 and 3) apart from the Remakes. The ambient moans, groans and crows were unnerving and still is.
Very nostalgic... simply the atmosphere of good ol' 90s that is all but fallen apart. Thanks for the video.
atmosphere which the lame RE3 REimagined 2020 game did not have
This has haunted me ever since I was 13. I'd hear this in my head whenever I go out at night.
I used to had nightmares at the same age as you. I got over it but, knowing that it may happen in some other universe... '-' not here so far thank God
Those backgrounds ugh. Works of art.
If you ever want to play it again, you might like RE3SHDP ?
the atmosphere of the remake doesnt hold a candle to this, it's perfect
the remake in general doesn't hold a candle to the original
i absolutely agree
Let it go fam

I’m glad to still own this masterpiece on GameCube. It’s been 2 or 3 years since I last played it. It’s time to give it another go!

One of my favourite songs of the game. The actual RE games can't compare with the originals💜
remakes are nothing re2 remake was decent but re3 remake was a flop
The crows ☺️
So much nostalgia. Take me back to those days when the Twin Towers ruled Manhattan and life's biggest problem was figuring out if that girl in science class wanted you.
Sadly she died running away from a zombie in that alley
I tried so hard to get at the girl in science class. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. :/
I muss those carefree days
this pained me alot world has taken a turn for the worse 😢
what ambience;
what atmosphere;
what immersion...
what fuke theme song!

i love this track it perfectly encapsulates the setting and the feeling. everything is lost, the city is doomed, you shouldnt be here anymore
A little bit more than 3 months from now, and counting. He's after us. THERE'S NO ESCAPE!
Waiting for the REREmake in 2032 with this
Many late nigths playing and drinking.
This is what I was hoping to hear in the remake. Kinda disappointed that it's not as scary as the og
I feel like the Remake just rushed your ass. Unlike RE2 Remake where you can stop and look around. Don't count the Escape scene. It's supposed to be quick for a reason.
Man, this theme gave me the creeps. Even more keeper with the ambient sounds in the background. 😬😬😬😬
Aydrian Martinez agreed. The sounds are eerie, but combined with this music is CHILLING.
Same this game gave some nightmares back then. That is ehy RE3 will be always my fav.
all this mass and dark atmosphere is caused by a tiny tiny tiny organism
The T-virus
better than the remake track
Agree
Thank you friend! I love this! Masami is a genius! unused camera angles looks fantastic
It's so sad ..everyone has been turned and the undead filled the streets..
Solo de escuchar esa canción con ambientación se pone la piel de gallina y se vienen los recuerdos de aquellas veces cuando jugaba este maravilloso juego saludos
Igual me pasa ..esas melodías me dan mucha nostalgia y tristeza a la vez
This really puts me at ease. A total collapse into a zombie/B.O.W. nightmare is all I've ever wanted since I was a 9 year old boy lol
It’s all fun and game until someone whispers into your ears: stars

0:24 This part will always be apart of my soul.
I feel that zombies from TViurs knew where to cut through to reach guts , masked on possesion of its own kind haha ::D
Oh yeah this was my childhood in 99
I'm hoping they remember this for the remake but also include the Zombie ambience
I agree the whole soundtrack and ambiance plays a big part, it's like one of the main characters of the game.

Good news: this song got a proper modern remake!

Omg i love this track! Best 1 of them all in my opinion
i put this in bucle when i play zomboid, so good ambient music
i wish i could chill in the backstreet bars during the 90s, it just feels so warm and wholesome
❤❤❤😊😊😊😊me da nostalgia.
beautiful
I love it
Thanks mate !
I'm still puzzeled how those cop cars have 4 doors when they are clearly a 2 door model
I think the back door is tiny as it's only meant for perps. Special Police Cruiser edition lol

i love to chill with this xd
The Remakes are way too clean. I miss this ambient and feeling of dread.
RE2 remake is amazing. RE3 remake was a glorified DLC
It’s so clean, it scrubbed off 60% of the contents.
Thank you ❤
a master piece
The wind and zombie noises used to creep me out as a kid
You know what this is y'all gonna learn to regrow that - willy 0
God I miss prerendered backgrounds.
I knew i recognized that ost from that remake.
Grand Artwork
I'm here after playing the disappointment that is the remake of this game
