I check into MOPANI Rest Camp in Kruger Park and explore the area surrounding Pioneer Dam | Ep4

Time to check out of Shingwedzi camp and move down South into the next camp - MOPANI Rest Camp. I make the journey down and check into my new home for the next few days - a magnificent chalet atop a hill overlooking the PIONEER dam. Enjoy the afternoon game drive, the visit to the hide, and the beautiful sunset that follows.

Loved the comment abt the little dry river beds. I always stop to have a look see too. I've seen a leopard or two like that. Although that was a long long time ago.

We are really enjoying your Kruger videos. We hope to be able to travel from the UK and come back to the Kruger next year. The view from your chalet in Mopani was beautiful, could you please let us know which number it was and we would like to stay there on one of our trips.

Hi Karl - so glad to read that you're enjoying the video diaries - and I hope that you're able to travel again soon. Its such a treat being able to drive through Kruger Park in your own car.
As for Mopani Camp - when you book, try and get chalet number 101. That's the one I managed to get (unknown when I booked), but as you see in the video, it has a wonderful view of the Pioneer dam and that young Baobab tree. Whilst I was there, there were endless processions of Elephants who came to drink and play on the shore opposite the chalet. Chalet 100 also had a great view from what I could tell - but I can't vouch for the others, as there was quite a bit of bush between each unit and I'm not certain what kind of views they had.
