Speedhut Gauges Worth the Money?

In this video, I will discuss various aspects of Speedhut gauges. I have owned a Speedhut gauge (speedometer) for approximately 4 years. I have had the entire Jeep CJ gauge set for a little over a year. I hope this video helps in your buying decision!

which steering wheel is that? Grant or Omix? the horn button appears to be Grant and the wheel appears to be Omix. Was just wondering if you could fit a Grant horn to the Omix wheel
Great video, I was curious if you ever got the clock to work correctly also where did you get the stainless dash? I have had a hard time finding one that fits right (overall size with the ends curled along with the top edge. Most are top edge curl only).
Show the oil pressure sending unit on the engine. I also have Chevy v8 and have limited room
Would GPS lose signal if you are out of middle of nowhere
Did you have to wire this into a howell tbi? I've got a howell tbi and a DUI. Not sure how the wiring will come into play into these new systems.

Kyle Pietro thank you. No, it’s not the DD. I have a Cummins too. I bought it to tow the Jeep as well. It will probably appear on a video or two. The CJ is just the toy/project.
Civilian Jeeps very nice. I’ve got a TJ and have been obsessed over the past couple years with CJs. The TJ is my daily and I love it. Love the look and feel of a CJ but last time I was in one on the highway was just too loud...
Kyle Pietro they are definitely noisy. I would love to have an LJ or TJ for a daily driver. I would keep the TJ for the daily but get a CJ to mess around with on the weekends. You can find fairly decent deals on solid CJs to start building.
@@civilianjeeps I'm in grad school at the moment, so don't exactly have the space/budget for a project. The CJs just have a way cooler classic vibe that I like. Love the simplicity as well. Always wanted a CJ-8, but they are on the rise...

How you connect the fuel level?? As per speedhut fuel is user programmable?????
You have to push the middle button on gauge a certain way. I believe it’s you hold it down while the gauge is off and while holding it power the gauge on. It will take you to the menu and select the fuel section. Then choose the correct ohms for your sender. The PDF manual is on their website and can help clear some things up.

Osmel Acosta yes you can. This would just replace your mechanical gauge. It uses GPS to calculate your speed.

Osmel Acosta I feel like it is. Speedhut gives you a pretty straight forward wiring diagram. You can actually download the instructions on the website to preview how extensive you think the project might be. I feel like it’s very manageable though.
