Patrijzen met 10 piepkleine kuikens in het veld. Natuurkanaal 20130716

Een koppel patrijzen (Perdix perdix) met ± 10 kleine kuikens in een redelijk open preiveld. Verplaatsen zich en graven zich dan in. Worden zo nu en dan opgeschrikt door een carbidkanon en door passanten met honden. Hopen dat ze het overleven. Mooie effecten door droogte waardoor het stof regelmatig opwaait. Vlieglawaai met dank aan onze luchtmacht die deze tijd druk oefent.

The partridge has a special place in my heart. It was a great day for me to film this video. Lucky that my eye catched this scene.
The partridge is a bird with the same problems in The Netherlands as in Germany. Parts of this film is used in the north of Germany in educational projects for children at school and in educational documentaries of partridges on television. Every year I try to spot the birds but it is getting more difficult every year, exept in places where the partridge is active protected for a long time.
The distance I filmed it was between 100 and 30 meter, sitting in a car.
