Fallout 4 Settlement Base Building Ideas - Lets build! a wasteland style resort, fit to accommodate at least 30+ settlers minimum, 14 bedrooms, market stalls, 100 power generator, 60+ crop farm, Bar, armory/workshop, alarm system, Covenant style defenses and much more...PLEASE NOTE this build was built while using "The Build Limit Glitch" to reset the build capacity once.

@@DJ-rf9yq I played the original game on my first playthrough but this time I modded it with Cheat Container (and others) so I have so much more building materials, it's much more fun to build when you aren't restricted with materials.

Good thing they have introduced the better power generation, you don't need such big chonky power rooms anymore. Rewatching this after a while and this still holds up rather well, great work!
Wooooooow..... my settlers don't have a home. I just put beds outside, give them all boards(weapon) for defence and strip them all off their clothing because that's how I roll. We should have a sleep over some time.

This was the first video that made me really challenge myself to build better about 5 or 6 years ago now. Since then I took a long break, came back and got back into building and built some pretty awesome stuff. Thank you for being that first inspiration.

The Slog is always a settlement I have high hopes for. I build with concrete in the 1950s modern architecture style ( I have a mod for glass). But that damn settlement boundary right behind the pool f-s things up!

I have no creative inspiration anymore. i used to spend hours on sims etc designing buildings and designing website layouts but it's all gone now. i keep trying to create things like this and getting bored or running out of ideas 10 mins in :(
Anyone can build a good settlement if they take there time. (Not being a dick I'm talking to the people who are saying "My settlement is a piece of shit")

Amazing settlement, I really like it but there is one thing I would like to change. It's to isolated and it looks like a prison. It would be awesome with windows for the view but also making it a bit more open.

let me know what you think dude, I had to skip a lot to fit everything in, but it turned out quite practical, 93 happiness atm.
I usually keep my builds simple at first . Barracks style housing for residents after a while I suprise them with personal shacks for them in small groups of 3 or 4 or so . Or pairs .

Okay, first -- that looks fucking awesome. You've given me some really awesome ideas. I would love to see you do something like this without breaking the size budget through mods or glitches though. To me that seems to be lacking in FO4 build videos. Everyone violates the size limit. I'd love to see an entire series on building settlements adhering to the budget.
You can increase the size of your settlement without mods. The easiest way is to drop guns within the settlement and then scrap them. It takes ages but it can be done and it’s what I did in my first play through.

I have turned the slot into a nice place for my ghoul settlers, it is my nicest settlement along with spectical island and sanctuary, all the ugly settlements are arena death pit farms to get more ghoul settlers as they are hard to come by, I go round on my routes forcing the scumbag humans to kill eachother in hope of getting more ghouls, I love it it's great, I felt sorry for ghouls so smoothskins gotta pay.

These vids must be pre workshop addon. The Generators you get from that area incredible. Fusion one does like 150 power and if do Vault 88, the nuc gen is 500 power, though it's pretty huge.
Ppl say no cheats or mods... ive played hundreds of hours a never once had enough materials to create all this at once... that being said it is amazing creativity great job
I've tried doing it legit but it takes forever. Call me a dirty cheat if you'd like but I just port in loads of wood and steel

The only settlement I've really focused on is spectacle island so it's nice to get some ideas of what to put in the other places
Yeah absolutely, its always handy to have other settlements for extra income, and different scenery, iv'e got plenty of building ideas on my channel man, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask :)

The only I would've liked to see is the rooms when finished. It looks like this takes up massive amounts of room and wont permit you to do much for the rooms.
I kept the rooms really basic, with just beds and a dresser and a couple wall paintings per room, you don't need much more than that..

I had to keep going and getting supplies but otherwise pretty nice, I added a few of my own touches like I put the basic furniture on the inside and put deck furniture outside, I would love to show you on ps4 if at all possible

With the Wasteland Workshop DLC you will have access to the new Fusion Core generator which gives you 100 power each and they are not noisy.
