You got to give props to this guy. He really moved snooker closer to mainstream. The entertaining way he plays. People who don't know anything about snooker beside that it exists know also that there is some Ronnie O'Sullivan and that he is entertaining and plays well.
A handful of humans can sometimes compete with this man but he is by far the greatest snooker player of all time,the definition of gifted. 👌
There's very few who come near him. I can only think of a few. Bradman in cricket. Jordan in basketball. Woods or Nicklaus in golf. Not too many who are playing a different game than the rest of us.

I feel really fortunate to be living in a time where I am or was able to see so many GOATs in their primes on their respective sports.
he wasnt gifted anything, many people have the physical ability to do that, he worked hard and practiced and he got skill, and intelligence of course. the definition of most skilled and intelligent snooker player. sorry i dont like the word gifted

gifted? what about hard work, dedication, studying the game day and night? This guy obviously isn't gifted, but simply put his life into this. Hard work pays off. Saying he's "gifted" is simply an insult towards his impeccable performances.
Snooker isn't huge here in the US. I stumbled onto Ronnie's videos thanks to the YT algo, and have been absolutely hooked since. Once COVID lifts in the UK, I hope to travel over and learn the game.
The game will never be the same without Ronnie when he retires, absolute genius, he makes the game beautiful to watch.
No one can top Ronnie, he will and always be the best the sport has ever seen.

I am a 66 year-old American who grew up playing 8-ball on 7-foot bar room tables.
When I graduated from college I moved to Seattle and played some 9-ball at the 211 Union Street pool hall. They had a few 6X12 foot snooker tables there.
Ronnie is an unbelievable shot maker!! I know how tight those pockets are, and the tables are absolutely huge!
I honestly believe that snooker must be, by far, the most difficult cue game ever.
As an aside...can anyone tell me if Mr. O'Sullivan is dominant left-eyed? I'm a right handed player with lazy eye in my right eye, so I can only use my left eye shooting right-handed.
I would think Ronnie is the greatest cue-man that ever lived for the pocket games. I am in awe!

I have never played an actual game of snooker or knew much about it till I seen Ronnie O'sullivan on CZcams. Im not even much of a pool player but I started watching this guy and was amazed at what this guy could do.
I win at almost every pool table just by watching his skills and I love it. Please watch more of his games. You will love them. :)

@@valley6824 I've seen amateurs potting balls in 8 ball so easily and finishing off the game in one shot. Whereas in snooker, the same players aren't even able to hit any of the balls properly.
Snooker requires alot more skills, precision and cue ball control.
Compared to snooker, 8 ball is pretty much a kids game.
I'm saying that, even though I mostly play 8 and 9 ball and not snooker.

I've been a snooker fan most of my life seen many great players but Ronnie when he burst onto the scene was a young exciting newcomer although a bit older and a little greyer he's still is the greatest and most entertaining player on the planet nuff said ❤️

I have played and watched numerous sports in my lifetime and have witnessed the all time greats such as Federer, Jordan, Messi etc etc. And while they're all amazing in their own right, none of them can match the sheer brilliance of Ronnie O'Sullivan. He is not just a generational great, he is an all time great.
We may see another Federer, another Jordan, another Messi, but I don't think we will ever see another Ronnie.
Not a chance there'll be another Messi IMO. But I agree the Ronnie belongs in such esteemed company.
