  • Walk Tall, written by Don Wayne. A hit for Irish singer Val Doonican, reaching No. 3 in 1964 in the UK charts.
Played here on a Hohner Echo Harp, Ukulele, Guitar, Tambourine and the trusty old Yamaha QR10.
Just a bit of fun, with a happy tune.

That's going back a bit Rod, you'll be playing Delaney's Donkey next!!. Nice key change, well played.

Hi Ian, we were talking about Brendon Power last week. I picked up my Suzuki A harp and started trying to play in an Irish style. I found myself having a go at Delaney's Donkey so I looked it up on YT and there was Walk Tall and I thought "That could Work" so here it is. The key change is one of the great things about the Echo Harp. Just flip it over and it sounds like I can play better than I actually do.

I have this harmonica from my deceased dad, it is in F and B, can you tell me the notes of each hole thank you

Hi Christian, I'm sorry I'm not going to be a lot of help to you. I play by ear so when I play the harmonica it's just a case of blow and draw until the tune sounds about right then I record it. I don't really think about the notes for each hole although I'm sure that info would be online somewhere. This harmonica is in C and G. I know they have also made them in D and A but I have never heard of one in F and B. Have a check on the instrument because F and Bb would make more sense for a double sided harmonica not that I'm saying that you're wrong of course. You could well have a very rare instrument that would have a bit of value attached. I'm sure you'd never want to part with it because it belonged to your late father but it would be well worth doing a little research to find out more about the instrument.
