    I'm enchanted with this video and amazed with the many things we have in common. I wish we were neighbors and could get together to create and talk about the things we love. Thank you for showing this beautiful books, I already put Geninne's on my wish list, it's awesome. I subscribed. Hugs from Switzerland.

    Olá Carol, fiquei curiosa com o seu sotaque e fui verificar. Também sou brasileira e moro em Dublin. E pinto um pouco de aquarela. Só comecei a ver o seu vídeo, mas vou continuar mais tarde, porque acho que os nossos gostos são semelhantes. Tenho o livro da Genine. Sou fã do Oliver Jeffers, ele estudou na universidade de Ulster, eu estou terminando o mestrado lá. Boa sorte no CZcams!

      Oi Elisa! Nossa que legal! Eu não conheço tantos aquarelistas por aqui, e certamente ninguém do Brasil. Eu amo o trabalho da Genine, ela me inspira muito. Mestrado é um grande passo, boa sorte pra você também e obrigada por acompanhar ☺️

    I would love to get the The Land of Neverbelieve but on Amazon it is $107 so I will just have to hope to find a used copy.

    Very informative, thank you. Also I agree that @Natasha Newton Art is not only inspired by the New Mexico artist Geninne Zlatkis but blantly rides on her back of creating art and stole from her.

    • @coloredcarol8074
      @coloredcarol8074  Před rokem +2

      Thank you for watching and commenting. I just wanted to precise I said their work is similar in the sense of using detailed patterns. While I know Natasha also likes Geninne’s work (she mentioned it in a video on her channel), I consider them distinctive enough to stand on their own. I am personally more attracted to Geninne’s vibrant colour combinations and extensive use of turquoise (my favourite colour) but Natasha has lovely work too (I love her painting on the watercolour book by Helen Birch).

      Interesting.
      @NatashaNewtonArt has a similar style, but I wouldn't say her art is a *definite* copy of Geninne's. Do you have specific examples of pieces that you have seen?

      @@coloredcarol8074 Right. Yet she @NatashaNewtonart is busy pointing out who apparently copies "her work" , where in fact she is the one who does just that right to the painting on pebbles and birds etc. Basically her whole style is based on that of the New Mexico artist. Also she's very aware of it, that's why she does not follow her to escape others finding out about her shameless stealing.
