Big fan of the Cerro Gordo channel and found your video about the road. Just what I need to see and hear. Been thinking of visiting Cerro Gordo on day soon. I’ve got a 2018 Promaster van 2wd weighs about 9k. Been wondering if it can make it up the road. What do you think. Assume I could try but not the best vehicle to attempt with. May plan to ride my ebike up the road instead. Time will tell. Gonna check out some of your other videos. ✌🏻👍🏻
Really, as long as your stay in the center of the road and have tread left on your tires any car can make it up. The trickiest part would just be getting around other vehicles if you encounter them at a bottle neck. Always look ahead for dust clouds!
so when it gets cooler can i go my tacoma will make it. 2 wheel drive with (push button) lsd. (lmited slip differential) wanna check out places. ???? maybe

I went there last month.was beautiful whith the snow in the cliff. But I was scared about the road.😮

Very helpful description. Any advice for travelers renting a vehicle? Is this doable in a Jeep or small pickup from Hertz/Enterprise?

You may have issues with ice on section 3. During the summer no problems.
