I don’t get the Topic>Collier take really. Topic can make any pass you can think of physically, but there is rarely an advantage created with those passes. His lack of decel in general and SHOCKINGLY terrible defense is worrisome. Especially when you factor in his jumper fundamentally isnt sound, AND it doesnt go in. He can get to the rim at well just because of how twitchy and bursty an athlete he is but he either just throws up a dumb shot, a crazy kickout, or gets an open layup. This in contrast to Colliers tempo and control of an offense while actually creating advantages, though less technically skilled a passer, is more valuable. And his jumper is fundamentally sound and actually goes in.

And in a draft this bad where there are only two or three with primary initiator upside then why not take him, though I believe Collier is a far superior initiator prospect and player. Also your Killian Hayes comp is very weak and seems to be a product of aesthetics bias, both being overseas big guards. Killian was a good shooter overseas and wasn’t a negative on defense. While Topic is a terrible shooter and terrible defender. Killian couldn’t get to the rim at will and wasn’t a twitchy athlete, Topic is a very twitchy athlete and gets to the rim at will. The comp isn’t good.
