Kenwood Solo Microwave K25MSS21 , 25L, 900W, Silver, White and Black - Review

Hey guys, I have bought Kenwood's solo microwave for my kitchen, to replace my old Daewoo microwave that finally stopped working. So far all I can say it is excellent! Here's why...
Good points:
- Easy to use particularly the 'quick start cooking' function
- Cooking modes:
-- Defrost
-- Reheat
- 8 auto cook programs:
-- Popcorn
-- Potato
-- Frozen vegetables
-- Beverage
-- Dinner plate
-- Frozen pizza
-- Fish
-- Meat
- Nice big LED display
- 25L capacity
- 900W power
- Digital timer: handy if you are not using the microwave and need a timer for something else you are cooking in the kitchen
- Good value for money
- Available in Silver, White and Black
Bad points:
- none at this point

Hi there, thanks for doing this video and I know this question has been ask before but the silver card that is in the micro wave to the right hand side can be seen in your microwave has not been removed, so should it be removed as part of the packaging or should remain in place as part of the microwave ? I under stand that your not a Kenwwod technician. Have you had any problems with the silver card in place?

The silver mica card should not be removed. It’s there for the purpose of short circuit prevention. If it gets damaged simply buy another from spares.

This is going to sound like a stupid question but are you supposed to keep the silver thing inside? The piece on the right side that covers one of the vents?

Hi Tania, none of the vents should be covered. When you first get the item, there might be tape covering the vents as part of the packaging, which should be removed. Hope that helps 🙏

Great microwave. Except that I find the beeping at the end unbearable and unfortunately it can’t be muted.

How would you know your food has cooked if it didn’t beep?

The whirring is loud enough and I don’t leave the kitchen when it’s cooking. As a musician I have super sensitive hearing, I don’t need the beeps.

Thanks for clarifying however my understanding is empty dry plates don't absorb the Microwaves so the oven can over heat and get damaged.

@@InsomniacReviewer Thank you for replying. I have looked and there is no mention of it, just says how to activate the child lock. It gives 5 very loud beeps when its finished. I hadn't thought about how annoying this actually is. Do your research to anyone reading this, before buying. Many thanks IR for your content
