  • The Chicago Bears have been linked everywhere to parting with a key member of this football team - a former starter. Perhaps a history lesson is in order? Is the juice worth the squeeze? Let's go into whether this is the right move for GM Ryan Poles. Bear down.

    Trading Herbert at this point would be extremely premature. I think it is incumbent on the new offensive scheme as to how valuable he would be for the good-guys. Keenan Allen has been looked at as a short-timer so perhaps getting trade value for him now is a smooth move. It also means you are shrinking your depth significantly with a solid player. As a fan with limited details I think it is better to keep him and see how well he performs with the new O!

    There's no way the Bears cut Herbert. Trade? Maybe. He's still arguably the best pure runner on the roster. Johnson doesn't have his burst, and if Swift gets hurt..You'll be wishing you still had him.

      Herbert stays. The new guy Swift gets hurt and Herbert does too but he returns kicks. The new rules make it so that running back can thrive so I doubt he goes. We want to be 3 deep. Velis Jones is gone. He had no fumbles and stayed healthy but they signed that burner KR/WR so I bet he is odd man out because of lack of versatility.

    Trade him straight up for a pass rusher for the rotation. Not for some 6th round pick BS

  • @Chi-Guy
    @Chi-Guy Před 20 dny +3

    Do NOT trade Khalil! If nothing else, he provides depth in the RB room. Swift is prone to injury! According to analytics, Swift has a 67 percent chance of injury in 24.

    This was rumored long ago because the backfield has a talent overflow. It makes sense to trade him for more defensive or o line talent.

  • @wr1791
    @wr1791 Před 20 dny +4

    He is worth more than a 5th round pick this year to us now, and we are not getting a day two pick, so we need to keep him

    I agree that Herbert is explosive. Hopefully the Bears can figure out how to use him while not tipping their hand every time he's in the game.

  • @jprice6419
    @jprice6419 Před 20 dny +2

    That's the way football goes sometimes, you can't keep them all. I don't think he would be cut for no reason. RB's need to be worth more, teams treat them like throw away players. In the draft if a team takes a RB in RD 1 or 2, everyone freaks out. A great RB wins games. If you drafted Walter or Gayle in the top 10..I would see a ton of value there.

    Keeping Herbert is a no brainer, he finished strong after the injury. Johnson is more suspect and hopefully his concussion issue is behind him. Looks like a fan is waiting patiently for an autograph from you.

    In this league you need two backs and RoJo is more of a ultra back but not a true RB in my opinion. What if Swift goes down. If you trade him to a good team I’m taking him in my fantasy team without question.

  • @adaonetube

    Yes, unless they are getting anything better than a 4th rounder, then it makes no sense at all to trade him. You can never have too many solid running backs.

    huge mistake, dont know how well swift can produce, plus herbert already knows the system. he has some areas to work on, but hes a hard runner and can still produce and add depth. dont do it bears...

  • @himonehimone1720
    @himonehimone1720 Před 20 dny +1

    Getting rid of Herbert and get compensation for him is better than getting rid of Herbert and not get anything for him. If no one notice this, Poles is in the last draft class of Pace regime. Poles has gotten rid of all of Pace picks but Jenkins, Herbert and Borom. Only Johnson and Kmet poles has resigned from Pace picks. So, trading Herbert and get a draft pick for him is not a bad decision. Especially when you can get a draft pick in the top 150 picks. In other words, getting something for a player you know you are not going to keep long term is a wise decision.
