Yes simple. This life is a test not the final life. You can know the taste of sweet unless you know the bitter. If you are born in a rich family how would you feel the poor. You wouldn't
For children (that they are not able to reason yet hence children) they would go to heaven if they died.
This isn't eternal life. This is a test to see if you would obey God and learn the reason of this life. If you follow his commands you would be pleased in both life and the hereafter
All this life and it's up and down are a test for us. It's part of the exam. The suffering and the joy it's for us to endure and be thankful for everyday and praise God for all of his giving to us.
