❤ Thank you all for watching. This video is just a guide, as prices will differ depending on location and supermarket chain.
You will see that my purchased items were 400NT which is a small shop, and lasts a few days with some other items from the street etc throughout the week. That is for one person, however, if my son is staying with me then the 400NT items wouldn’t last me so long.
I’m happy eating meat, vegetable, rice, pasta and fruit, so it’s quite an affordable eating lifestyle if I’m cooking 🙏🏽

Very welcome Chris and thanks for watching! Great stuff, superb decision! There will be much more info coming up regarding cost of living and lifestyle so hopefully you will have a good idea before hand! Have you got a job sorted yet or will be looking? If you drop me a mail on matt@mattwardconsulting.com, would be good to hear your situation and if you needed any support, I can see if my contacts can help.

It's crazy to see how much the dairy section has changed. Years ago, you could get only plain milk, and most of that was reconstituted milk and not fresh! (You should have seen me when I came back to the States and saw all the varieties and percentages, creams, etc! I was jumping around the aisle! lol)

😂😂 I can imagine! So funny! Well Unfortunately, prices are starting to get a bit silly now but still, you’ve made me grateful for the choice!
Thank you for watching Jenny 🙏🏽

Good vids. But Can I just say that you ate about 3 breakfasts in one. The average Joe probably won't eat three danbings, two hashbrowns a sandwich and soy bean milk, lol. As for Chen Lien. My wife kills me if I shop there for fruit n veggies. Suffice to say if you go to a market it's a lot cheaper. Milk in Taiwan is obscenely priced aye. Chen Lien has started reign in the prices of beer now. You can get 6 cans of Premier lager from Japan for 200 as standard now. Not wanting to knock the vid by the way. I enjoyed it!...........Oh and the bread. There is one at Chen Lien. Right at the side. It is called double fibre. It is a brown bread...it's not sweet and it is akin to a Hovis loaf. I think the company is called 'Read'....packet is like partially see through and blue......it is similar to the Artisan stuff. 45nt.

😂😂 thanks for watching and for the comments, all much appreciated!
Yeah I realise I have a Dan bin problem, so good with the chilli. Good shout on the bread and I’ll deffo have a look out for that. I’ve actually stared going to markets again for veg after years (10 years ago I lived on Xindian road where each morning was just full of them), I think with me it’s location and ease of things but like you said, prices are starting to get silly now - 40nt for a tomato or pepper 😂
The other day I went to my usual boazi place with a 50nt coin only as it’s normally 48nt for 3. I got the bag, only for the price to now be 60nt - had to run home and get another 10.
If you ever get a chance to sneak out to PX when missis doesn’t know, give me a shout 😂😂🙏🏽🙏🏽
