I must agree that Mattel needs to step up their game. I yearn for the days when Barbie clothing was made from nice material. When her shoes were color coordinated with her outfit. While her face is cute, there should not be a single factory defect in the paint. I’m more harsh in my criticism of Ken. He has no expression on his face and his neck is definitely MISSING! 😮 His legs look too thin and his pink outfit is going to look much better on your “Mini Me” than it does on him. I understand why collectors want this set despite its flaws. Mattel owes the Barbie faithful more. They sacrifice quality in order to turn out more and more dolls. They fail to understand the true Barbie aficionados expect better, appreciate better and will eventually refrain from purchasing more because of the imperfections and poor designing. Thankfully, there are still some Barbies that meet the standards collectors want to see. Please allow us to see your mini dressed in that pink outfit….with his ball cap and a nice pair of white running shoes 👟. Thanks for another wonderful video. 👍🏻🌹👍🏻

Like a said, a ten dollar doll in a hundred dollar box! You get better quality from playline. The barbie looks and rewinds are fabulous! Id rather buy them. 😊
$110 Dollars? Really? In the video they give you the same cheap (breakable) doll stand. For that amount of money you should just buy a TB league doll. That is 1/6 scale doll art.

I ordered it as soon as it was available on Mattel's website, and they still haven't shipped. I called Mattel today and they said there was a delay in shipping. Ummm.... ya think? At least Fed Ex didn't lose it! I had to have the side eye Millie in this. She is GORGEOUS. So strange about Ken's neck... I agree, they should be flawless at the price Mattel is selling them for.

The Barbie collector dolls are really disappointing now of days. The quality isn't their and the price is too much. They can't even give you stands that don't break. My two Looks doll stands waist clips broke. Luckily, Amszon came thru and gave me a credit. Also, I wish the Ken had pants. It seems like this is a trend with Ken dolls. This Ken is boring the buff. The Looks doll with the buff body and Extra Ken have much better faces. Those two dolls are also way cheaper.
Love the mini glow up you gave them ❤️ Ken in particular looks much better now. I agree, though, that Mattel really needs to step up their game - especially for their more pricey Barbies. If we’re gonna pay over $40 dollars for a doll (or $110 in this case 😳🤯), then we should expect nothing less than perfection. This is just my opinion, though I find this set cute, the price point is too high! Wowza! Also, maybe people were putting bad reviews out there, so they could get their hands on one, before it sold out! Shameful!😮 I'm getting more of a brother and sister vibe than a couple, from these two. In the US, it is supposed to be an Amazon Exclusive so I am confidant that it will show up eventually. Unless it is a Mattel exclusive, the Mattel shop selling out does not mean much. Mattel carries a very limited stock, unlike Amazon. Anyway, I am really surprised about Ken's neck. I wonder if you pop his head on another made to move body it might improve. And also compare the bodies and neck holes to see if there is any differences. Maybe popping his head off and then reattach it might help. So bizarre. But they do look wonderful together and the boil wash did wonders!

I have this set. It’s really nice but I feel you don’t get much for the price. He should’ve come with long pants plus maybe another shirt plus shoes. She should’ve come with at least a nice big hat n maybe a skirt. I believe we’re paying mostly for the packaging. I wasn’t going to purchase it but when I saw it was the last one at FAO Schwarz I had to buy it. Plus it was cheaper than eBay. It was actually cheaper in Australia. Target Australia had them for $108 ($73USD). The US price of $110 would be $162AUD. Got a set for my daughter to put aside for Christmas. Gonna finally get her a Dream house too and put them in it for her to open on Christmas morning. She's 10 and loves Barbie
The only thing I don't like about this set is Ken's neck! That's the first thing I noticed 😅! I don't know why they made his neck so short!? He looks so strange next to Barbie. Everything else is fine. Barbie is beautiful!
I wish they'd sell just the clothes for $50. Ken needs more nice clothes. I need more fashion packs! Once the Barbie corvette comes back in stock, I'm gonna buy it with the Barbie movie outfits set and the purple/pink Barbie style outfit set.
As a collectors item I would expect more, Barbie with the same face, and somehow Ken looks younger than Barbie 🤔 (which technically he is 🤣) but all aside, for the price is disappointing, you are not the only one with issues I've seen ken's lips all chipped also and what's with the neck? Was he hit in the head Tom & Jerry style. Mattel needs to do better we deserve more for the price. Yeah, Ken's neck is bizarre, how did that get through? I'm not going to do anything to mine, but it's super weird. The jacket helps disguise the issue, so mine will probably always be wearing his pink shorts suit. My Barbie's hair is rather brittle, I found. I had to give her a spa day for her box hair, and there was a fair amount of breakage I wasn't expecting. Overall it's a nice set though.

I would be raving mad if I got a doll with a chipped lip. That is unacceptable. When I was a kid (1980s) I never once got a Barbie that had anything wrong with her face paint. And those were playline dolls.

I don't collect the Barbie Style Dolls in general. They're very overpriced, and I can't afford them. I like the Barbie Look dolls better. They range about $20-$22, and Amazon puts them on sale for $15 which is a bargain.
I bought this set and the Barbie's hair is rooted super thin and Ken has no neck. Ken was the reason why I bought this set and to receive a Ken with no neck with this price tag was upsetting. I have better Kens for a lot less.
She is ok, although the hair and the make-up could be better, but him looks so cheap and plane. Not worthing even a fraction of what they are asking, especially not with him being such poor quality. You can buy an integrity at this price.
That Ken Doll is Ugly. He has no neck and that face. You washed his hair and it went poofy. I don't think you were supposed to remove Barbie's Undergarments. They were tapped on so you could put the clothes on over them. The [packaging is wasteful. If the outfits came on the dolls. They could saved all that wasted space in the middle and then been able to lower the cost. They sold out because of resellers clearly. Matte; Creations has a seriously problem with Reseller bots buying out the dolls before collectors can get them.

That Ken Doll is Ugly. He has no neck and that face. You washed his hair and it went poofy. I don't think you were supposed to remove Barbie's Undergarments. They were tapped on so you could put the clothes on over them. The [packaging is wasteful. If the outfits came on the dolls. They could saved all that wasted space in the middle and then been able to lower the cost. They sold out because of resellers clearly. Matte; Creations has a seriously problem with Reseller bots buying out the dolls before collectors can get them.
