Fantastic documentary. The only thing that is annoying is the fact the Oval Office rug and curtains were green not blue in JFKs Oval Office. Apart from that. Bravo!
I love this mini series! Greg Kinnear, Barry Pepper and Tom Wilkinson did a fabulous job. I personally thought the weakest link in this production was Katie Holmes but her portrayal of Jackie Kennedy improved as the show progressed.
Joe Kennedy was EXACTLY what a patriarch should be! He was a man, with a vision for his family and did what he needed to do to keep them close and make them strong. He gave his family a sense of purpose in this world and builta legacy. Was he perfect?? NO!.. Could he have made some better decisions?? ABSOLUTELY!. But, all in all, families today would be so much better off if they had leadership like this!! JOE JACKSON (Michael and Janet Jackson's father), was the same personality type. And guess what??? BOTH of these families, ARE STILL remembered and respected for their contributions to society and culture to this very day.. And both of their legacies will live on..
Haha I’m glad you mentioned Michael Jackson’s dad. Because both joe Jackson and joe Kennedy remind me of each other. Both had similar plans for their families (to become successful) and they’re some of the best we’ve seen. However, like you stated earlier I do not agree with all of the decisions both Joes made.
seeing Jon Cassar here...i keep expecting to see Kiefer Sutherland giving an interview for Jack Bauer....lol speaking of whom, having Jack going thru a time travel machine to prevent the JFK assassination within 24 hours would be one helluva watch!!!!
They were all fabulous - but who the hell cast that girl as Marilyn? She was NOTHING like her. Terrible. Maybe the casting director was drunk that day.
Amazing acting and casting. But Katie? Yeah she dreams she looks like Jackie and the casting of Marilyn was dreadful. But I’ll look for it on streaming. Thanks
