Everton fan here. West Ham have some seriously good technical players. Moyes last home game. Sometimes it is just meant to be as Leeds found out in their penultimate game last season. All the best.

Correct. They have outstanding forwards, midfielders and at least one outstanding defender (who is needlessly cruel to cats). They have a better team than us, and it showed, and we lost. That should have been the gist of this chat.

I felt we were cooked following the home defeat to Sheff U. We had consistently failed to beat the bottom sides & just weren't good enough. A leaky, Championship level defence & chronic injuries sunk us! COYH, let's go again next season!

As a town fan for nearly 50 years, this has been an amazing season, never been prouder. That being said, the players looked tired and shell-shocked even Barkley has been off the boil recently. Morris has ran himself into the ground and been a great leader in trying times. Ultimately the Prem is a different beast and the intensity, speed and quality proved too much for us. We build and come back stronger.

I agree Luton we’re not good enough. Forest , my team , we’re just good enough. It’s a very hard league and there is a gulf in class between the PL and the Championship. And it’s increasing. All the neutrals wanted Luton to stay up and they did much better than I thought they would. Next season in the Championship is anybodies, it’s a great league , I’m just relieved we are not in it for another season at least. But if we go down next season, so what?

West Ham seem to be the cursed team for struggling clubs, I remember over the last 5 years; Norwich, Watford, Huddersfield, and Fulham were all officially relegated after defeat to West Ham. Just seems to be a strange statistic, so when I saw we had them right at the end of the season I thought we might just be added to their list.
    Hitman Moyes strikes again.

Your club has suffered much much worse than being effectively relegated yesterday. I thought we (West Ham) were poor in the 1st half and stepped it up much better in 2nd. Your team has no stars and whilst that hurt you over the course of the season, it will hopefully stand you in excellent stead for next season. Hope you get up again soon lads 👊

I think RE has not stepped up in his management skills this season - he needed to do a half time switch around so West Hams tactics would be messed up - I would have changed 3 players at half time bringing Woodrow, Townsend and Hashi - RE needs to improve next season but I am NOT saying sack him - we need to offload many players next season ( e.g. Potts, Pelly Shea) to get a really strong squad and keep Barclay if at all possible

What an amazing 12 months its been! Feels like a dream and we will wake up to reality back in the Championship. Only difference being we have a healthy bank balance, a few new neutral friends, a shiny new stand and some great memories. We return to more fixtures, no VAR, better stadium atmospheres and more competitive matches. Oh yeah, and we have progressed massively with the stadium development. Im looking forward to the Championship season already. COYH!

I'm a Forest fan myself and you got Forest Fans like me all wrong I'm not here to gloat or brag but if you were in Forests position in 17th place with points deduction PSR and FFP charges against your club and had 17 players playing in AFCON as well as wars with your own council etc etc etc you'd be hoping that Forest would go down this season with VAR dooming the relegation teams and your Luton Town were in 17th and Forest were in 18th instead put this into perspective Luton Town didn't have any points deduction nor a whole team of AFCON players all unavailable for team selection for best part of 5 weeks did you Luton Town Faithful I'm a fan of football in general who loves seeing newly promoted teams stay up in the Premier League beating teams like Liverpool Arsenal Man City Man U and Chelsea and Spurs that's why in a General point of view I'm proud to see Aston Villa staying in 4th and Man U possibly not making Europe as the table stats say that Forest played slightly better than Luton Town I am actually humble that your team has been relegated it was a breath of fresh air seeing Luton Town in the Premier League I got mixed feelings about Luton Town going down I was hoping that Forest ended in 16th and Luton 17th instead even Everton got my support regards the points deduction saga it's like the PL wanted Everton and Forest to go down but failed at least you played better than Burnley and Sheffield United so I hope to see Luton Town back in the Premier League asap and stay up next time so don't assume that everyone non Luton Town supporters say they wanted you down your manager could only do his best and he got your passion promoted I believe he'll get you promoted again but stay up next time I wished Man U didn't beat your team i wish your team the best of luck getting back into the Premier League asap I supported your team when you played home and away against Man U cos I hate that club with a passion I always hoped a newly promoted team like Luton to beat Liverpool and Man U like Crystal Palace did 1 0 and 4 0 respectively but for Luton Town it did not happen for you guys at least your club didn't end up being part of the 100 goals conceded club that Derby County once held so I'm not and I'd hate to see you meltdown cos that's what selfish football fans do and I do feel for your club going down in hindsight at least your club is safe from PSR and FFP and that's a good thing so if I was here to gloat and brag I'd be saying haha relegated but I'm not commenting that kind of stuff I was hoping for a draw for you guys to take it to the final game of the season like it was to predicted and the FA did the dirty on your club as well as my Forest yet here I am showing compassion towards your relegation in 07/08 Season Derby County only made 11 Points you smashed 11 points with ease if your team had 29 points with better GD it would have been Luton staying up instead so keep your head up high and no it's Not Onwards and Upwards cos what goes up comes back down it's Onwards and Forwards cos you don't look back not to dwell on things that were out of a football fans control and it's so much harder for a club that only has a Championship budget newly promoted teams should be gifted another 10M pounds to help strengthen your club so it's a sucky situation and on football terms in general I'm not here to brag to upset anyone on or with your club being relegated it was sod's law that it was Luton that went down with Burnout and Sheffield Utd your team showed the passion to be a Premier League team with a Premiership budget it just wasn't meant to be so keep your head up high Luton Town

I think blaming Rob for not making a tactical change is a rich. He had little option on the bench, players lacking fitness and Barkley limping off. I do have question marks around Chong's decision making when passing the ball, better today but most of the season it has been wanting - and Morris for not using his pace and power to play off the shoulder for through balls - he ALWAYS runs towards the bloody thing to stand 3 feet away from it.
I guess we will have to wait and see if Barkley stays and if he does, build the squad around him, who are at least switched on and MOVE looking for passes. It annoys me when Ross has to hold the ball up, or try and take on their players because there is zero movement upfront. Either way, the players gave their all and Rob is a far better Manager than the snake and confident he can take us back up.

@@LewisWilliamsLTFC I get it. I felt the same way but when there's no many options available, makes it tough. I guess, given how rampant West Ham were in the second half, he could have given others a run out. It wasn't a game we were ever going to win sadly due to the gulf in quality.

You could see that some tactical change needed to be made when it was 1-1, but Rob Edwards and his team didn't do it, so they have to take some responsibility.
    Hahahaa!
Luckily for you, you don't have to state what that change would be. You don't have to calculate the risk of going on the attack when there are the likes of Bowen etc etc coming at you do you. Or would you have closed shop? Hung on for the draw?? By bringing who off, and who on exactly??? What would your formation have been, and why would that have worked better?
Easy to stand in front of your wardrobe in an orange England shirt with the collar cut off saying you could see we needed a change, but not naming what that would be!
Give the management credit, they have worked miracles given the financial odds against them!
But then, you have looked at the finances of other premiership clubs, and decided that you're really not bothered.

I'm so proud of this team. They have been brilliant this season, but injuries have killed us, and we have fallen short defensively.
Going forward to next season, we need to improve the defence. I feel we need a large centre half in the middle. Mengi has been fantastic, but is he tall enough🤔. Burke, Potts, have to go. Lockyer probably won't play again. Kabore will go back to City. Clark and Berry are not good enough. Will Barkley stay? Lokonga back to Arsenal.
Woodrow?? Is McAtee and Taylor good enough for the championship. I think Taylor deserves a chance. The summer will be very interesting. There will be plenty of movement, I think
