2K should just do an NBA 2K game that updates yearly. Then from there, you can choose on game mode what year you would like to play and will update the roster the way it used to be.

KOBE Era (2002) is the best to use. Roster where U can add Reggie, Barkley and all of them with their real numbers (cant have #31 Reggie in Modern or 2010 roster) for example AND you still have the SuperSonics available
