Perfect moment to activate the auto generated english subtitles and get the popcorn because the AI doesn't get it's not english and tries it's best and it's hilarious … "aerophones sorry Hakeem"… "no no honey wait oh no Turkey forever"… XD
Poor AI, the work we make it do just to amuse ourselves.
This looks jarring in 60fps. It's too smooth and gives me motion sickness with the camera. The slower movements feels much better for the overall aesthetic of Chapter 3. It looks cool in some shots but damn this was an...... experience.
Still. Cool attempt and Vid PM1. Always appreciated.
That timing is kind of brilliant, since "4" sounds the same as "death" in Japanese

@@GachaMofo if there are any to begin with, Book 3 was the 1st time we received a theme with lyrics in it so we'll have to wait and see if that's the case for Book 4 or not.
Pretty sure everyone knew Leif was Alfonse though, just perhaps not how or why but we knew... they look exactly the same.

I know Shareena's english voice actor might have been absent during recording, but this doesn't make the scene worse: picture this as Shareena being scared to death, unable to say anyhing but reaching her hand towards Alfonse.

Sharon screaming "Onii-Sama!" & Sharena being scared to death (literally) to even scream helped the scene greatly in it's own ways.
I picture the summoner shooting a 1star unit out of Breidablik to kill Hel.

The English voices did a really great job. But I also love how the japanese voice of Eir says goodbye to Hel while crying, for me it gives more weight to the ending.
Y’know, I actually liked Book 3. It certainly wasn’t that good, but it was far from bad. If IS didn’t restrict the story to the first and last levels of each chapter, it probably would’ve been much better. So much potential, but it got squandered by the way they presented it. I have hope for Book 4, but I couldn’t see IS making it a very impactful story when they cram it into just a few paragraphs of dialogue
Seriously, I honestly think in order to make these Main campaigns interesting they need to have story segments at the start and ending of each level of the chapter (or at lease three of them) & and have the heroes in the levels actually have some sort of investment/opinion on being summoned and commanded by the enemy or at least say something in regards to the plot.
As it stands, Last year's Adrift & Christmas paralogues felt like they told me more than three chapters combined in the main story.
I agree. It wasn’t all that good, but it certainly wasn’t bad either.
I'd like them to just add a few OC in the banners, just to make the main story quest are more connected. Or maybe use characters from several games that might be good to the story.
Only using characters from 1 series kills the story like almost everytime. There are a few good choices tho, like using all the black fang (Ursula and friends) as a reinforcement instead of generic soldiers in the end of Book 2.
Honestly I feel like the story could be better if they didn't focus on the banner's characters.
For try to see a new kingdom where is Loki, Thórr & Alfadör come from and to recognize Helbindi’s Sister named Menja. Right?

Am I the only one who just really loves Book 3? The characters with their unique design, the Story about Lif, The music, the atmosphere its all just so cool and interesting. I love how Alfonse matured in Book 3 and confronting Lif about all what happened in the story. I'm so glad this exists Book 3 is just so awesome. And the Boss Music is one of the best themes ❤️

Goddamn those little details between ENG and JP dubs makes me waaaaay happier when watching this.
- ENG dub focuses more on their body language in their animations compared to JP's tone and emotion in voice (Alfonse's sentence about Lif serving for Hel, for example)
- ENG dub has to play around the fact that Julie Kliewer is absent during the ending and used it to create tense silent moments before Hel swings her Scythe onto her, creating the immersion of "so scared you can't even talk or scream" usually used in thriller movies. JP dub had Sharon scream Alfonse's name to build up emotion during the entire exchange, making players, viewers and everyone on the scene wanting to rush in to save her.
- Not to mention the lip-sync work is redone for each version.

I'm over two years into FEH and this still made me as giddy as a kid on Christmas morning.
I remember happening to wake up at 5:00 AM on the day the Lif and Alfonse scene came out. I watched it so many times; it drove me nuts with excitement. I’m still obsessed with that cutscene. It’s wonderful. The acting, lines, and storyline... all on point.
I just love Eir so much, I felt so happy for her at the end of book 3 when she finally stood up to Hel but more importantly because she found true friends (The Summoner, Alfonse, Sharena) that genuinely cared about her and wanted to help her ❤️
Eir really needed a hug after seeing Alfonse lost his sister. Why is fate too cruel?
reminds me of her dialogue in chapter 5-5.

JP Eir's "Goodbye, Mother" was so touching holy sh*t.

Its so cool to see what Feh has become over the last few years! i didnt think it would be that good, but now theres actually a story to follow :) im so excited for book 4!!!

I keep rewatching the fuck out of this still. Hands down one of the best books (the best imo). If anything I wish they had made more Hel characters. Love Thrasir, Líf, Eir and Hel herself. Love them all. They even missed the chance of making a Hel design/alt for characters that died the previous book. Surtr, Fjrom's big sis, etc. all back but serving Hel with different looks to boot. Would've been cool as hell.

In terms of story, writing, etc. could've been better. IS could've done much more between maps. Character design, theme, etc. was all great.
... I still wish Fjorm showed up.
Especially when they were flashing across all the FEH OCs faces... I hate how she just disappeared, especially since it would be so interesting! They did say she was dying by the end of Book II, and then they dealt with 'Death' itself in Book III. Plus we didn't get Surtr either despite that Xenologue! Uhg.
I hope we don't lose Eir by Book IV.

Wow. Despite Hel’s defeat and Eir’s freedom from her dark influence, I still found this ending sad and bittersweet... but then again, when is death a happy thing?

I have Easter Alphonse, and I found out two years ago that it’s pronounced that way in one of his lines. I was shook. I’ve been saying it like that ever since, though.

After watching all the cutscenes and the whole stories in book 3, I still don't know what did Loki do at 0:22. Why was she even there?
She transported Veronica there. But she ditched afterward.

@@sylvandoggo4416 fun fact, the animation is different for both ENG and JP dub. The lip-syncing i mean.
Also the cutscenes have different length for both versions. The Alfonse and Lif one have an extra 1-2 second in the ENG ver compared to the JP one. And the ending of Book 3 where Eir says her goodbyes takes longer in JP than the ENG one.
It's almost like they redid some parts of the animation for each version, most noticably when Alfonse says something about working for Hel, the ENG version have more body language and Alfonse tilts his head when saying Hel in shame. While the JP ver has Alfonse dumbfounded the entire time and stares off at the distance.
So i don't think it's Sync issues, it's probably just the direction and/or Julie Kliewer isn't present during the recording.
That aside, they handled both cutscenes pretty well imo, with Sharena talking and not.
I LOVED the video scene of Alfonse and “Lif” talking it out. I was astounded at how well the voice acting portrayed each character, and the story captivated me more than it did in the game. Still my fave cutscene.
Looking back on it, they were hinting at what the plot was all about since the very beginning with lyrics like "Throw it all away" and "to bring a dead world back to life"
Like Netflix you need something to survive why not make a fire emblem anime?

One of my favorite storyline from FE game.
I have waited so long for this music in a Fire emblem game. I still would just love to see much more guitar in general. Especially on the melodic side. As for the book, I loved it!

i rly liked how they handled the part where the summoner uses breidablik (also it's p cool that they wear gloves bc then in scenes where you're seeing stuff from the summoners (so technically ur) point of view u can kinda see urself in it if u want to no matter what ur skin colour is lol)

Has anyone else noticed that the only character to ever acknowledge us when we are viewing a cutscene is Loki? Is doesn't just glance, she even nods her head to say "Yes, I see you and I know about the fourth wall." Of course it would be the lday with a strange obsession with us and the one who is pretty much confirmed as not being human.

I still think it's Alfonse's Japanese VA singing the song in the first jpn trailer. Sounds similar to Tatsun's voice in OLDCODEX. I could be wrong though, who knows.
It's like the 100th time i watch the ending movie, it was just so epic imo. Even though it didn't fix the ending from being too rushed, it certainly helped the book a little. Also, am I the only one who finds Thrasir just insanely attractive? I can't stop watching her fading in and out from Vero
Thanks for putting these together, I understand why they don't add it to the game, and maybe they should do the same with the openings in the futures. Heroes is already a rather large mobile game

Going back to this after the recent TT… It makes more sense why they showed Eir in a flowery garden in the opening cutscene. I’m guessing the dreams Eir claimed to have was also of the life realm. Also explains why Eir doesn’t die after being killed so many times and doesn’t become Hel’s puppet after being killed, as she was the princess of life or something.

Hmm, not bad. Not spectacular compared to some other FE games but not bad. Kudos to the voice actors for their performances, and I will say that that chant by Veronica as she helps you land the finishing shot was epic as hell.
I sincerely hope she gets a normal unit soon. We've gotten a Brave version (which is an interesting take on her character to boot), we've gotten a Spring version, and we effectively have what could be called a Fallen Veronica. Come on, IS!
