Every honest Ghanaian who pays attention to gospel music knows that Defe Defe was very popular back in the day. We all know Osuanii Afrifa wrote it and Kwame Mickey produced it. Just using part of the song in your project (to earn money) without due permission is inappropriate.

@@footballgalaxy20233 I get you bro! I just want the person to know that making money wasn’t their intention. If the song didn’t hit there will be no way they will be sued.

My problem with our Ghanaian music factory it their production team.if there is a proper production team, all this wont happen.you will have a lawyer who understand copyright law.you have a professional to go through the lyrics ans so on.but we just ride on the talents and gifts(which is not bad),but if you see music as a full time something you need to get it done well not just recording and publishing without underground checks.

That line team eternity copied is nowhere written in the bible and that makes their case difficult...because hallelujah voices created that line " m'ahyia Onyame anka bosam ay3 me defe defe" and that line or sentence is nowhere written in the bible.

It's true but music copyright can be crazy.
The story Joe referred to had to do with Ed Sheeran, in the end, same melody of the song but his had a different chord progression, he won de case.
      It's quite tricky

Team Eternity's line omits "bonsam". You think if it were going to be easy for Kwame Mickey to contest this issue in court, he would have brought it on social media???

@@agyapongdaniel You a copyright lawyer, right??? Most likely not. And mind you, that's not the only word omitted. You see, you guys think it's as simple as ABC to win such a case in law court. Why is the accuser still mouthing on social media instead of going to court? Smh!
