My dad was one of the main producers for the beer advertisement with Yoo Jae Suk in Australia many years ago. I remember him telling me how when the production stage was being set up by the crew members, despite the heat and tiredness he faced, he would still help the crew move the boxes and props etc. Just saying this to show how Yoo Jae Suk acts behind the camera lol.. He really is deserving to be called 유느님
Oh and also Haha did an advertisement in Australia too, and he was also as considerable and nice to the production team as Yoo Jae Suk too lol

I live in Australia, and they actually sell kangaroo meats in grocery stores. But for me personally, I wouldn't dare to eat it.

For those who have never tried it, kangaroo basically tastes like beef but a bit tougher, and crocodile tastes very much like fish except it has a slightly acidic flavour.

Yeah crocodile does actually just taste like fish, I haven’t eaten kangaroo though and refuse to, makes me sad just looking at the meat at coles or wollies most times lol. Had crocodile only once though at a school function a few years ago, without even knowing it was crocodile at first
We could eat chicken, beef and pork fine but it just won't be right if is others lol. We got used to the three major meat source that the others just feels weird

Kangaroo is amazing!! People think that cause it isn't pork, beef, chicken etc that its weird but it has been eaten by indigenous Australians for literally centuries. It isn't weird to most Australians lol. Tastes amazing but it does have a weird thing where no matter how much you cook it unless you burn it to a crisp it stays red on the inside.

I've only had croc meat once and it was at a fancy restaurant as part of their set menu, tastes just like chicken tbh with a softer crumble-like texture, like fish. Kangaroos meat is yummy when you marinade it overnight so it's not as tough to chew, but if you didn't know what you were eating you'd think you were eating beef.
Kangaroo and crocodile meat, acquired taste food from Australia. They should try the turtle meat and grubs too.
(Personally I prefer beef and chicken).

There are already farms for them nowadays(for crocodile not sure for kangaroos tho), some species of crocs are endangered and those are the ones that are illegal to hunt, but some like the saltwater crocs have farms where should we say farmers harvest them. As for kangaroos well Australia's kinda big but IDk lol

Woven Silver killing native animals in Australia is illegal apart from cane toads which are a plague and need to be destroyed when found, crocodiles are farmed here in australia for the skin trade and rather than waste the animal they sell the meat for consumption, kangaroos however have overpopulated and are now considered a pest same goes with camels so there are government organised culls and the meat is then also sold for consumption and you can buy the meat in most grocery stores nowadays.

Ive lived in Australia for 14 years now but I’m still yet to try Kangaroo meat. Kangaroo meat isn’t really something that is in every restaurant you can find here in fact, I’ve personally never been to a restaurant that serves Kangaroo steak as in the video. Im sure the production team would have wanted to make use of every opportunity there is to give these guys a cultural experience unique to Australia which is not a bad thing at all. That being said, these guys are in Darwin, and Australia being such a large country with most of its land in the middle being desert (not many people live there), its very different from city to city as the population is so spread out and so I wouldn’t really know if restaurants with kangaroo steak is a normal thing there. All that to say, to think that Australians eat kangaroo meat is a bit of a streotype/generalisation, just like it is a stereotype to think Koreans eat dogs. In fact, its harder to find a Korean that has eaten dogs than who hasn’t at least amongst the younger generation, and even if you see one who’s had it, ask them and they’ll tell you that it was maybe once because someone (usually like an uncle or someone trying to tease them when they were younger) gave it to them without telling what it is.

Jae seok is right about the weather in sydney it's ususally about 23 to 24 degrees but at times it's higher than that! When going to darwin, its always going to be hot

Actually its because we simply have far too many that it has been legalised to eat and hunt them under a certain amount and also they have less plants to eat (even though we have a lot of bushland) although most Australians will not eat kangaroo unless its Naidoc week or a special event they will but not always because even though its cheap to buy at Woolworths or coles its still a preference for people. Although the kangaroo is Australia’s national animal only the common type of kangaroo that is found here are only the ones that are eaten while those that are close to extinction are kept safe under the law in which if you kill them you will fined or even jailed as they are trying to increase the numbers and dont want to be losing a lot though this is hard to prevent because many kangaroos are out at night and will be hit by oncoming cars and die right then and there.
Sorry this is long but this an explanation of Australia’s kangaroos. (Any fellow aussies pls correct me or add more info(:)
