This is my home town....it's beautiful. But they gotta run off all them homeless people downtown.
Los Critics Supreme ; We have that same issue in Houston. It is tent city under the frwys.
They need to turn the old courthouse into a place for the homeless to stay.
@@gailswetman they need to burn it. its costing tax payers money
@@louie115, homeless people need places to sleep, too. Many have just fallen on hard times.
Are there 60,000 of them in Corpus like there are in Los Angeles? Are they spreading typhoid and plague as well?
I grew up on Padre Island. 🙌🌹
I WENT THERE WITH MY DATES FOR LATE NIGHT SWIMS AND WALKS.
Going today to see family and relax on the beach
👀
Nice
grew up in the valley. corpus was the go-to city for serious shopping. and went to A&I . this was where we would go to get out of town, have fun. always loved it. anyone who says its crappy should have stayed out of the barrio. maybe the old sections of downtown , with the nudie bars that catered to the swabbies . but the rest of the city is and always was something special.
... Well said.
What part of the valley are you from? I'm from harlingen
And then the rent goes up...
Your videos along with the soothing music makes me feel so relaxed.
Thank you very much for the kind words, Fraser.
As for the music you get to hear on my vids (not just this one), good or bad, some ppl call it "shitty", it's copyright-free music so I can monetize my vids, very hard to find and that's why I never disclose details about songs you hear on my videos.
Any songs you hear on the radio (terrestrial or satellite SiriusXM) or on TV are 100% copyrighted.
Enjoy the Super Bowl Sunday.
I am so glad no one hated the music, because I love it.
@@johnsalazar3769 Loved the music, too! Was surprised to hear it in a Corpus video. Good job!

Really nice there wow
Susan Brown it is
Susan Brown I live here and personally I think it is great.
Darlington shat me too
I really don't like living here it's not to family friendly
I go there but never had the opportunity to make that drive, thanks for posting.
I’m going to corpus next week IM SO EXCITED 😆 I’m even starting to pack 😅
I stay in Houston Texas
I go to corpus for personal reasons a few times a year .
I really like it there , but everytime I leave that place .
I feel depressed . Like it’s trying to take a part of me . Everytime
Maybe your depression means you really miss corpus and wish you lived there
That's how Denver makes me feel, i think it's the prairie, can feel desolate, nothing like Austin
I know what you mean about that
I feel the same about it. I only visited corpus during the summer for 3 years and every time I left, a piece of me stayed behind. I haven't been back in 3 years maybe almost 4. I think 2016 or 2017 was my last time there.
I know there’s so many beautiful places to go to,, but I’m in love with corpus ❤️
I grew up in Corpus Christi. It has changes some what. I 'd like to think the city would build more tall buildings to enhance the skyline. Perhaps widen Ayers street and reshape the downtown area as well as uptown to bring in more businesses. GP AKA Gregory Portland could use a facelift; not only bring in tourist but also long term inhabitance to insure the stability of the city (Corpus Christi). I also think its time to rebuild the harbor bridge. I'm not sure if it could with stand another strong hurricane; besides its time to bring the city out of the mid 1900 and into the 21st century. The coastal bend is still a gold mine waiting to be taped into and help the locals to enrich their lives. I guess the question is.. when will that happen?
iamtheghostwriter100 literally predicted a new bridge haha! They’re building a new bridge into CC to allow larger ships into port which will make it the largest oil port in the US! They’ve got it all planned out.
The harbor bridge has withstood stronger winds than about anyplace in the lower 50. Hurricane Celia in 1970 produced astonishing winds, The bridge was unscathed, though much of Corpus was destroyed. They are building a new bridge, but for more vertical clearance, not because the current one is in any danger of being blown down.
My life won't be complete until I can call Corpus Christi "Home"❤
I was thinking that same thing
@Kerry Smith How come?
wow ALL of corpus christi just from ocean drive from the base to the art museum
Cristian Cortez No, you dumbass
They have lost of attractions
Beautiful
Moving their in January cant wait ☺
How is it?
Beautiful America, God bless all time
What a shame the city has the potential to be nice but the city council is a joke. And won't let it grow
70ccbigdog Is that really a bad thing? Do you really want CC to be another LA or Miami? Think of the cost of living increases, taxes, etc... At one time Austin was a quaint city and state capital in the Hill Country, now look at it. I-35 is a parking lot for almost 22 hours. Housing prices are off the charts, loss of Texas culture (may as well call it Austin, California at this point) ehhhhh..... CC is fine just the way it is, thank you very much.
I completely agree CC is a jewel that is still relatively unknown by those from outside the state and even by many Texans. Tourism and rapid population growth is not always a good thing.
Christopher Stowe
I’ll move wherever the damn hell I want.
My girlfriend wants to move there... sorry guys the population is coming!
Sudo Linux
Yup! Out of the way.
What background music are you playing? Very Floydian till it gets cut off abruptly at 8:06.
love my city
Wow this city is beautiful.
Thanks Chris God bless you always 🙏
The opening sequence is the ride in from what used to be the old Naval station and then past the A&M Corpus campus of which was called CCSU back in the early 90’s and prior. I used to ride my 87’ Specialized road bike out to the naval station and back to around Airline St many times back in high school. Used to see folks throwing crab nets and surf fishing in the flats as I rode past.
Anyone know the name of artist or song to this music?
Looking for a place to visit in Texas the week of Nov 1. Corpus Christi is an option. I am disabled and ride a scooter. Would CC be s good choice and what are the activities for scooter visitors?
I currently live in San Antonio. But after living in hear in the San Antonio area for 4 years now. I finally went to Corpus Christi to see Selena!!!! I went last spring. I can't imagine in the summer months!!!!
I am a teenager living in this city. It can be unbelievably boring not going to lie, but it is a completely breath taking city. I often go for a jog with my sister on ocean drive near the water and it is so beautiful at night with all the city lights and the moon shining on the water, not to mention the colorful lit harbor bridge. I saw somebody comment on how the city council is a joke and I would agree. The city can feel like a ghost town and if you go downtown to where all the tall buildings are at, there is sometimes little to any cars only if you get there at a good time will you see more cars. I lived here my entire life and I love it for its peacefulness and beauty, not really much for the people. They can be fake lazy trashy people who do not really care about the well being of the city unless it involves them. I always end up picking up trash that is on the sidewalk near the ocean when I am jogging. Many buildings are abandoned downtown as well. I would not mind for the city to grow building wise and maybe tourism wise for the city to feel more alive, but I think it is fine just the way it is. Although, I am not living here for the rest of my life, very very limited opportunities. But if you need a peaceful and beautiful city with little to none activity, Corpus is the place for you. Just know that when that new bridge is built the city is going to become busier.
Eric Jaramillo Lol I have dreams about this city being more traffic and bigger how funny, and the girls are the best looking here, guess there is something to be glad about, and I also met this prettiest girl ever in my neighborhood,
back in 2014-2015 good times🙂
@@sethjoseph8152 That is cool to hear. Yeah the girls here are pretty though.
Nice dude. Do you mind answering some questions ? How expensive is it to buy a home / land? What are the demographics like race wise (just curious) and how is the local food? Oh and is there an active night life?
john Doe I have been living in Corpus for 5 years already so I can answer your questions. Well, Corpus is more expensive than the Valley. A very nice 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house with a small decent sized pool is 210 k. Corpus has a lot of variety race-wise. There’s blacks, whites, Latinos, and Asians. But for the most part Latinos. The local food is pretty good, but my parents say that the sea food is not the best. Some of the local restaurants that I really like are Googly’s, King Sea Food, Royal India of Corpus Christi, and a specific Taqueria Jalisco restaurant that is near the Corpus Christi Athletic Club Gym (there are many.) The city is active during the day. You will still see a few cars roaming around during the night, but just less. There are a few night clubs that you can go to and they get packed.
Eric Jaramillo I think Corpus has more activity going on than the average city. You have the beach, the Selena Quintanilla statue, USS Lexington, the 2 water parks, the aquarium, and a few museums you can go to. It’s kind of touristy. But what new bridge are you talking about?
I'm 14 and been living here for my whole life
i live there to have a happy life
Everyone who lives there is _aaalways_ whining and complaining about the city.
Vendzor I live in Corpus, I love it because I moved from a hell hole call Albuquerque New Mexico.
Send them to live here in Richmond, California. High crime and high cost of living will have them fleeing back to Corpus Christi!
What do the complain about? Looks nice
Cause it sucks
I’m so happy I love there
Looks better than Colorado in December to me.
Que bonito y grande Corpus
It looks like a nice place to visit
365 days a year, each and every year!
Stay well.

Nice city 👌, I love Texas
What happened to access to the marina T Heads? Looks like they closed the entire side of the road closest to the marina. I miss Corpus Christ TX and the entire area.
Greg Cripps you can still go on both t heads and L head! They closed some the road for a awesom pe Park. Once u pass McGee beach where the old coliseum was it merges back to old road
Is it expensive there? I need to know thanks 🙏
When I was seaman, I've been to Corpus Christi many times. I miss those days.
Last time as the way I was treated at Bay Area hospital for kidney stones was the last straw for me, and I loved this city almost as much as? I’ve lived here for over 40 years been hit by two cars on purpose in the last year and been burglarized once. Without anything being done by the police or district attorney.. not even a report.
Abused by the police and local hospital and the VA isn’t helping me with my anxiety or mental health but because I’m stuck here after building a house and the virus..
I’m f’ed
I built this town, and used to have connections to the mayor and several high offices.
Not anymore, and it doesn’t help my severe anxiety at 63 knowing that I have no one to help me with crime health care or a district attorney who gives a damm.
Thanks for your service.. my butt I was a volunteer in the Vietnam era.. a Corpsmen and worked all my life in Corpus, but have never been made to feel so alone as I am in serious trouble with absolutely nobody to help.
I shouldn’t be treated like this, but I’m sure you’re busy with the virus..
I’m just hoping to get it, and soon because I don’t want to go on living knowing that there’s literally no one I can call for help, or even protect me from the anxiety it’s causing knowing that I don’t even matter.
The first person I met in corpus had gold paint on his face because huffing gold was a better high on the T head to get away from Corpus he said.
So at sixteen I told him that I had lifelong vacations in Florida and Corpus was paradise in comparison.
So after walking to the L head I saw the ambulance loading this kid my same age up after returning to the dock to huff falling in to drown and literally throwing his life away.
I was down here because of the passing of my dad in Chicago, and my brother was the manager of the coliseum.
But most of all because I believed that I had my whole life ahead of me..
I now wish I could have joined my new friend, because he was right.. Corpus Christi is a great place as long as you are connected, or rich?
Other than that.. you’re better off jumping into the bay!
I’ve been there on vacation before a lot it really gud and I wish I lived there because it looks beautiful
We would love to have you :D
I currently live here and have been for the past 5 years. I’m always moving every few years and this is the longest time I have stayed the same city.

What is you favorite city in texas?
My favs: as state/province: Texas for the entire USA & Canada, as large urban area: Houston/Galveston for the entire USA & Canada, also love San Antonio AND Corpus Christi as well as mid-size urban areas.
My fav factors in the above personal "ranking": traditional values, warm climate, great economy, low taxation, great road infrastructure, low gas prices, pro-2nd Amendment, majority of residents speak English AND... overall friendly people.
God Bless.
Thanks for the input. The factors you mentioned above is what i'm looking for. Once i get a new car i'm on my way down. I was thinking about corpus christi but it seems san antonio has a lot more opportunities. Anywhere in south texas would be fine with me. Iv'e also considered mcallen because of the climate and location only and hour and half from south padre island. I saw your other video of mcallen did you think that was an ok city?
reptiliandomination1 ive been to mccallen for one full day. Alot of shopping. But it looked like a 3rd world country once u get past the shopping area. Its actually the poorest area of the country believe it or not. Not nearly as bad as black neighborhoods though. Houses should be cheap but not sure about opportunity. 90% mexican population....
nice music, sounds and looks like an episode of miami vice
