They used the name because the two of them make out 50% of that name, that's their part to own. They used the name because this particular project is a Slaughterhouse related concept. The whole album is them speaking on THEIR perspective of this. They have the right to move on and not be beholden to a thing which never goes anywhere or does anything for them. You gonna lock them up, and also say don't speak on how you feel? Man what rapper does not talk about how they feel and what's going on in their life? So are you saying that they don't decide for themselves whether they want to stay in the situation, they can't leave? And if they can leave, are you saying they can't speak on it? What's even the point of rap if you're not gonna talk about the stuff actually worth talking about. They aren't slandering anyone, they are saying look how we felt, and now we've had enough. We tried talking to you all in private, nothing happened. If nothing happened for 10 years, guess what, nothings gonna happen in 20 years either. It never takes someone 10 years to achieve any kind of action towards a goal.
You don't live on hopes and dreams, which is what you do if you think more time would have changed anything. They're getting older as well, you gonna start the new career of the group when, at 60? You gotta realize when people are just stuck in wait mode, part of them gets stuck in life they don't get to move past that and truly live a complete life. Like Crook said it brings me down, low energy, it's not good for him personally. He also tried a lot. Who stays then? It's like a relationship that should've ended 10 years ago and you still waiting. Not to mention you're in this to actually make something, people are not gonna be part of something meant to create and earn a living, and not do that, let's stop playing. At a certain point you quit a job if you don't achieve or earn anything. Now you had your chance to do something with the group, it didn't happen, it's too late to cry now because others want to move on. They have that right, they also have the right to speak on it because rap is all about that.

Joe Budden being retired rejects all deals by itself. If he really wanted to rap he would. This is like you taking a female out to dinner a few times, send her good morning texts and buy her gifts then she says you were never interested because it was never on paper. Royce has publicly said he wants no part of a three man group. That ends that. Hoping this is a wrestling angle and these guys join forces again and drop an album. Might as well leak Glasshouse for the fans.
Joe probably isn't allowed to make any actual records himself due to the contract, and is why he quit rapping and his last few projects were either solo songs or mixtapes. Then his podcast blew up and he really has no reason to record anything until he has a solid "mixtape" put together. If you listen to all of his last projects he was just getting into his prime finally, there has to be something in the contract that fucks him over if he records something again.
