- The MBA admission tests are changing! The new GRE and GMAT focus are shorter, but with switched-up content and the old tests going away at the end of 2023, how do you know which one you should take for MBA admission success?

Hey CareerProtocol! I have two questions - as you said, the GMAT is uncertain at this stage, and so going ahead with GRE is a better option. But GRE is an exam catering to multiple graduate programs, whereas GMAT is specifically for MBA programs.
1. Is GRE treated with the same importance as the GMAT by B-schools? Do they have a preference?
2.For Ivy schools and other top schools, what should be the target score for GRE?

I wish I would've seen this video a week ago. I naively signed up for the GMAT focus exam for March 2nd, all the while using study materials for the traditional GMAT exam. Welp!

What if u already started studying for classic gmat and actually sat for it before, do u recommend to still restart from scratch with gre in this case?
I'd recommend trying to get the score you are aiming for before they discontinue it in January. Good luck!!
