hey there! It's a mix of cotton and viscose. Any light fabric will have the same result :)

Hello, When you say to put the front pieces together when tracing around, do you actually turn the front pieces so they are facing each other and then lay it down and trace around or turn it the other way so the back is facing? (Sorry silly question I know but I'm a bit confused)

I really like this. It looks easy to follow. My dog keeps chewing up my clothes, and I’m tired of buying new ones(plus I’m poor). I’m currently out of shorts because of it. I think I’ll finally be able to use my sewing machine and make some clothes with this tutorial.

hey! You can definitely use a non stretchy fabric, the one I use is not stretchy. It just gets a better look if it's light and flowy, but you can use a non stretchy fabric for sure!
Hi, I tried making them but Im stuck in the part of folding the upper part to insert the elastic.. I just cant saw it without it getting baggy..do u have any tips for me? Thank you
hey there! whe you say baggy you mean that the waist is like loose? cause maybe you need to shorten the lenght of the elastic, to the the size of your waist - or a little bit less than that :)

Hello there!! This fabric is a type of viscose. The kind of fabric that doesn’t really need to be ironed. You can use any light fabric you think it’ll work, really! Any kind of polyester or you can try with a cotton fabric too. Hope I could help! 😘😬

Hi, great tutorial, and super clear, but I'm making a mistake somewhere and I don't know where. I've tried twice and each time I can't pull my shorts up past my thigh. I have a small waist and I copied shorts that fit me and are a little loose but each time it still doesn't work. Very frustrating, and I'm a beginner, so I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!! ❤️
Hello there! Maybe you have to make your waist size a little bigger. With the elastic it will make no difference. I think that way you will be able to pull them up! Let me know if it worked out 😘

Awesome tutorial, but can you please explain the part where you put one side inside the other? I don't understand how you made the U shape or what part of the shorts that is

@@karinarodriguez3519 I'm just as confused as you are lol :) I guess I'm just not very good at following tutorials. But if I had to guess, I would say maybe she left a little more space in the back to keep it from being too fitted. Before you make a pair yourself, I would trace a pair of your old shorts anyway just to make sure the pattern makes sense.
hey there! I'm gonna try and explain it :) 1 . (min 3:51) you'll need to turn one piece to the right side - having one piece on the right and one in the reversed side. 2 . (min 4:12) put the right sided piece inside the reversed one - lining up the seams. The tricky part here - because I saddly fasten the video - is that you have the pieces (one inside de other) folded in half by the seams, and you have to ''open'' them and fold it having the seams in the center (min 4:20) finnaly having the ''U shape''. Once the shorts are done that is going to be the center seam! I really hope I could help you :)
@@thegreenroom8878 yes, the back part is supposed to be a little bit longer (because of... butt!) but I'm affraid I cut both pieces the same size in this tutorial :)

hey there! I changed the color of the elastic, so probably your confusion comes from that. You're right, you only need to sew one elastic (the one around your waist). Hope I could help :)

The back side is cut differently. These would be so uncomfortable without the slight bit of extra fabric for the back.

hello there! hmm... You have to cut it right in the beggining. just follow the ''pattern'' of your own shorts and you'll definitly have that curved ''small area''. if you can't seem to find it just extend that part in the shorts you're making to look similar to the one in the tutorial :)

Hey there! Unfortunately I never used fabric glue, so I really don't know that, I'm sorry 😢❤️

+JEYA LAKSHMI hello! You'll have to measure around your waist and then take about 5/7cm when cutting the elastic! It's everything based in your measurements. For example if you measure 60cm around waist you cut the elastic with 53/55cm 😘❤️
I always use to not cut the elastic before its inside the pants or whatever because having a longer strip prevents the end to be lost and then try the pants on and remove the extra until I have the tension I want then I add about 1,5- 2cm before cutting it.
