Storyline:
The Civil War has ended, but the fighting hasn’t out West. Bands of ex-Rebel soldiers are still terrorizing the countryside.
Capt. Jeff Madison (Alan Steel) is on one of the best at bringing those renegades to justice.
Now he’s on the trail of one of the most notorious, Machedo (William Berger).
Machedo’s men set an ambush for Madison; only he and a sergeant survive. They return to Fort Mason, to find Machedo’s men have captured it as well.
Madison flees, but is caught. Rather than putting him to death, Machedo has him staked out, fires two bullets into his gun hand, and then leaves him for dead.
Only Madison doesn’t die. Though his gun hand is permanently crippled, he’s rescued by Indians, including a pretty maiden named Swanna.
Two years later, when Machedo’s men steal a small fortune in gold coins from a bank, Madison returns.
First, he hijacks the hearse being used to sneak the gold out of town. Then he hides the gold in a ghost town called Blackston Hill in order to lure Machedo and his gang there to dole out his revenge.

"This movie was made in 1972, but seems more like it came from the mid to late 60's when spaghetti westerns generally had a more serious tone.
It is a typical but very good revenge tale about an ex-union officer whose hand was crippled by an ex-confederate who leads a band of guerrillas who continue to terrorize people after the war is over. It's fun to watch as the now clad-in-black hero seems to come back from the dead, and hunts down and kills his enemies one by one.
Sergio Ciani plays the protagonist in a performance that is horrible even by spaghetti western standards. In all fairness though, there may be another person dubbing his voice who can be blamed in whole or in part for the wooden performance. I don't know, but it's pretty bad. Fortunately, William Berger makes up for it. He is excellent in the role of Machedo, the leader of the confederate gang. This is definitely Berger's movie. It's probably the best performance I've seen from him.
The music score by Ferrio is also very good.

A right type of a good film that promises to make the adage "Time doesn't hang on those who find the right kind of stuff to make an overwhelming entertainment" come fully true.
One of the best parts of the film was the man with straight brimmed hat stopped to water his fine horse at a stream. Well done to the director of the film.
A pretty violent film at times but well done. I enjoyed it.

Sorry, but I’ve got to quit listening to this movie. It uses most of the movie about people getting tortured, annoying laughter, chasing people, and people fighting. Actually listening to anything that is relative to the movie, is about 10 or 15 minutes. Of course, then the movie would last only 10 of15 minutes, and then would not be watched nearly as much😅
Last time I checked six rounds per cylinder but one is usually empty under the hammer for saftey,oh well,it's only a movie I think.

Just amazing. I carried a Smith and Wesson 4 inch barrel blue steel revolver 6 shot for 21 years for a local police dept and i have never seen seen a revolver fire 19 rounds at one time in this lousy movie. I see that some of your comments below caught this. Good observations.

I notice at lot of it but didn't want to comment until I got tired of the exaggeration of the gun having so many bullets. There was another western where 4 bads guys were riding towards a ranch to kill someone. But when the shooting began, suddenly a total of 9 guys appeared from God knows where 🤣🤣🤣. I love westerns. I used to go to the movies when I was young but of course I couldn't see every single western movie. So now I'm catching up with it, as I'm retired, so am free to watch it.

And to boot , the indian maiden nurses him back to health and tells him she loves him and he dumps her. What about the money ? She'll live comfortably right?

Yep, William Berger, he also played the titular protagonist's adoptive father in "Keoma" and the main villain in "If you meet Sartana, Pray for your death" which shares similiarities to his role here, great actor!
