I've been watching your content for a few years now and love your style, especially your house. I've always found your videos to be so relaxing. I'm in my late 40's now and if there's one thing I've learnt it's that I can't please everybody. I spent too many years doing things to make others happy, to fulfil their expectations of how I should be and how I should live but I made a decision that by making others happy with me, I was making myself miserable. I lost my dad when I was 8 and he was 49 and the realisation that life is too short to be constantly appeasing people finally hit me in my late 30's when I had some health worries. Since then, I've changed my outlook on life. I guess what I'm saying is that you should do what makes you happy. I realise being on SM makes that difficult but your followers will still be there and loving you and your videos for who you are.

Omg honestly I would be so happy to see a CZcamsr do a proper lovely traditional Christmas tree/Christmas decor rather than go for a theme just because it matches their house or just because it’s what’s popular! There’s too many people doing the same thing nowadays so I personally would find it even more exciting to watch you doing something different! Also if it’s what you are excited about to do then it makes for even better content as we can be excited for you too! Gemma⚠️... Do what makes you "happy"... If you feel like traditional... Go for it🤗.. You should be decorating your house for you and Jamie, not for us.. It will look beautiful whatever style you go for🤗. You evolve and change in life.. Just go for it... If people love you here, they will enjoy anything you do🤗. To be honest, your pinks, glitter, feather style was something I don't like for myself🙈.. But I loved watching you decorate your house that way.. Because we could see how excited and happy you were🤗.
I always did traditional with reds, golds, greens with tree decor that I collected all over the world on my travels and inherited from my parents and grandparents.. Last year I went Scandinavian-neutral.. My kids complained that it was dull and didn't feel Christmasy enough.. And to be honest I agreed with them.. It just didn't feel like cosy Christmas.
So this year I will do traditional in the livingroom and a second tree with scandinavian neutrals on a second tree either in the dining room or hallway....

You have no idea how much I relate to everything you said in that heartfelt section. Literally just this morning I posted on my Instagram saying I’d overthought it and decided not to post something I was previously excited to post because suddenly I was convinced no one wants to see it. Like you I have a lot of feelings, I overanalyse them, often sharing them but often not because I want to keep my space positive and a nice distraction. In the end I think it’s about a balance and also remembering that we’re all just human. Hi Gemma. Its easy getting caught up in overthinking. Try to remember Christmas is a feeling. We don't care about the latest decor as much as we want you to be happy. We always say Christmas is about the kids (we have nieces and nephews too) and we try to make it as magical for them as possible. When you have that mindset you can't go wrong. You are exactly right that is what I e been trying to tell my children and grandchildren Christmas is a feeling. I told them what I love is the music the baking even the cleaning, decorating and watching Christmas movies. They literally just laugh don’t get me wrong they are great people but they just aren’t into that part of it all. If it was up to me it would be a gift less Christmas and just be together but nope wouldn’t go over great with the children or better yet just the grandsons. Cause I literally cannot thing of one thing I would even want I have been blessed with my good health my great husband of 34 years and I guess material things but what is important to me is just being together and having a great feast!!!!

@@GemmaLouiseMiles 🥰 1 diced apple, 2 teaspoons of honey, 1/3 cup of oats, 1 cup of oat milk, 1/2 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (I like to taste the Christmas but if desired use less) leave in the fridge over night then heat for a minute in the microwave in the morning. Enjoy, so glad I tried it, it may be all I eat for a while 🤣 xx
