Prince of a Thousand Enemies is lifted from the book. Richard Adams made the rabbits smart, but not smart as humans (which explains why they have trouble grasping that they can use a piece of wood as a raft). They can only count until 4, and any number beyond that is a thousand. It's been a while since I watched the film, and I don't remember if it explained Fiver's name. If it didn't, Fiver was born fifth and probably last of a litter, and his Lapine (the rabbit language Adams invented) name is "Hrairoo" which means Little Thousand. Speaking of Lapine, Elahrairah actually is a contraction of Elil (enemy) Hrair (Thousand) Rah (Prince). The book also has the rabbits tell more myths involving Elahrairah, Frith, and the Black Rabbit of Inle 😀

John Hurt was also the voice of Snitter in The Plague Dogs, another Richard Adams based novel also directed by Martin Rosen, The Horned King in Disney's The Black Cauldron, and General Woundwart in the 1999 tv adaptation of Watership Down.

I watched it when I was 6 years old. It was a great adventure movie, but also very terrifying and disturbing 😅

Same for me… West-Berlin 1988, was my first night there and my grandpa wanted to help and get my little brother an me a movie while my dad was still unloading the car/van. I think we were crying like crazy, but this and a animated movie called „Valhala / Walhala“ will forever stuck in my head from this intense time going iinto 1989 and the fall of the Berlin Wall, Fall of the UDSSR and reunification.. what a time and place to grow up in. I will never watch this movie without crying, not just because of the movie, because ofvthe memorys from that time

Fail Reaction from uninterested extra's. Don't let them near anything after 2015 maybe. Maybe then their cool 'want-to-be' 'youtube reactions' might hit the mark for 5 year old's.

I definitely don't think this is a film to watch with Beavis and Butthead. Needs to be in a snark-free zone.

fun fact, demestocated rabbits are so different from wild counterparts that they can no longer cross breed. Basically, Hazel's plan to rescue the human owned rabbits was a fools effort.

Amazing movie... reacted to by a loud mouth energy drink consuming muppet, a surprisingly unwoke millennial feigning offence and a reasonable guy feeling a bit awkward by the wanky reactions of his off-siders. And, I’m out.

Thank you for reacting to this! It was fun : )
I was obsessed with this movie when I was a child. My dad rented it for me after a brief description by the clerk that it was animated and about bunnies. After incidentally watching it with me one day (one of my rewatches) he got enraged and banned it from the house. I still managed to get it in secret a couple other times. A classic.

The movie was a waste on you three. It’s sad . This film is so nuanced and deals with such life issues - i watched it when I was 18 and was moved to tears at what these rabbits go through to be able to life their lives as free beings - away from human selfishness. Stick to marvel films guys - plenty to laugh at there! SMH

I like your dry wit. Not juvenile or over-the-top, insightful, handsome. You'll have a successful run, I think. 7:50. it was a time when film music was finally recognized as a serious art form from extremely well-trained and talented composers. Melody and structure were emphasized. The genius of John Williams, Bernard Herrmann and Jerry Goldsmith represented the pinnacle of what I consider the golden age of film music. Today, we have, uh.... Hans Zimmer. An overblown producer and businessman masquerading as a musician. Quite prolific, I must say. In the same way that tubs of cottage cheese can be manufactured at a very high rate of speed through automation. Forgive me if I offended cottage cheese.

Brilliant reaction mates! You should do The Plague Dogs made by the same people who made Watership Down and it's just as if not more gory and sad as this, except it's about dogs and has a lot of cruel animal experimentation, but either way very entertaining. 👍

This movie gave me sooo many nightmares as a kid. I actually read the book in high school and it's a masterpiece in storytelling and world building. Though, I still never read/watch this before bed.
Coulda done without all the race comments bringing the mood down but otherwise a decent reaction vid.

Nice job with the virtue signaling about the lack of assertive female characters-- when you were talking so much you didn't seem to notice that Hyzenthlay (female) attempted an insurrection in Efrafa, then was one of the three runners in the plan to lure the dog back to the warren. You also missed that of the "harem" of captive farm rabbits as you call it, which was made of male and female rabbits, Clover (female) was the only one who spoke for the group determined to leave with the wild rabbits. I came here to see the reaction; not sure if you guys talk your way through all movies like this but maybe you should try paying attention to the content before you make accusations of misogyny.
