Totally agree and they needed to be a size bigger xx
Red is definitely your colour.
Agree with you except for square neck green print. I think the neckline is flattering on you and takes away a few years which i would like for myself. Thanks for the video always have fun.😊
Blue dress is best
You looked great in the second red one
Thankyou Caroline, it's refreshing to see your videos I appreciate your honesty and I know exactly what you mean about preferring something looser . When you get a certain age which I am well passed the coolness of looser clothes is very preferable .
I enjoy your try and very much . ❤
Oh caroline you look have so encourage me i too can not wear the milk made look girl im a lot older then you all the try on colours suited you you have great taste the izzy dizzy print looked so pretty on you ive bought quite a few of your dresses the blue poker spot you truly know what you are suited i love your vlogs thank you c
You look lovely in the red dress
The green leopard print dress looked lovely on you.
Gipsy rose lee in the purple patterned cross over at top you cold tell people's fortune lol xxxxxxx
The red colour on you was lovely, I wonder if you went up a size it might give you the looseness you prefer. You know what style you like. Thanks for the haul.
‘Milk maidy granny’ summed up that lilac ruffle dress perfectly! 😂😂😂
I agree about sizing I recently bought a finery size 10 dress an albaray size 16 dress and a size 12 gap dress they all fit me perfectly ☀️😂 I hate elasticated and sheered anything awful they always make the top halves of a dress too short
Thank you for video. I totally agree with you about comfort zone and also at our age we know what suits us best. Have a great week 😊
Hello Caroline,,pretty dresses beautiful colors,,I wish the red dress would have been a winner the color looks so flattering on you.
I didn’t even know Dorothy Perkins were still open! It was a lovely shop. I liked the print, style and colour of the lilac dress, and the red ditsy print one was lovely on you. It’s a shame you didn’t like any of them. We have to be comfortable or it doesn’t work. I’m a comfort zone person myself. I know what it’s like to feel uneasy in certain clothes. I enjoyed watching your haul though. Lovely choices.
I really liked the dark green with the split and the square neck. I think maybe you're just not used to a square neck. Very flattering!
You look amazing in everything!!
Sorry you had no luck with this haul. I agree with you, if it's in your comfort zone you're more likely to wear it and feel good.
Loved the pinky Red one, looked so fresh xxx
Love the green dress myself 😊
Caroline, I totally agree with you about fitted dresses. Look great standing up, not so hot sitting down. Also, I don't like a square neck. I would be fidgeting with it all the time. Love the red one on you!!
I liked the second to last dress on you! I agree about the sitting issue, i often think that when i am watching hauls and the clothes are very tight when standing. Thanks!
The lilac ruffle dress definitely looked like granny’s nightdress lol! Very pretty dresses, shame the beautiful lilac print one was so short, it was lovely!xx
Good morning, Caroline, some pretty colours here but your evaluations of style and fit seem to be spot on. Thanks for sharing with us.
The red ditsy dress looked so nice on you, very flattering.xx
The second from last was lovely
Always enjoy your fashion shows!😊
It's tough to find a decent dress! It's taken years to work out what suits me and I still buy things I end up not wearing 😕😅
The last red dress Caroline looks beautiful on you, ❤ you suite that colour and seemed to hang lovely. Thank you for the video 😊xx
The red dress really suits you.
The first and second to last one look pretty, the ditsy prints seem flattering X
Have to say a prefer a v neck on myself too. Just suits me and my body best. Agree with your thoughts on the dresses. I recently ordered a few summer tops from Yours with the intention of keeping one or two & ending up liking and keeping them all (5) - very naughty of me 😂😂 . XBut as it’s my birthday tomorrow I thought why not! Have a hood weekend! Xx
Happy birthday for tomorrow, Julia x
First dress was such a gorgeous colour on you. Maybe a size up would be better. The last red one was lovely too. V neck so flattering. So enjoy your videos.
I liked the short on you and the second last one too
Stunning dresses - I enjoyed seeing them. Forgot all about Dorothy Perkins.
Mornin caroline great vlog lovely choice of dresses I know what you mean if you don’t feel comfortable it’s a no go. Really liked the pink ditsy dress on you, really nice. 💕
First of all, your complexion is looking marvellous. The red dress was easily the best colour for you - utterly lovely. A small amount of extra flare on the lower half would make a huge difference though Specialist pattern cutters for Plus sizes are hard to find - and previously, retailers who only made " standard sizes Reay have a difference sizing up. Would buying the next size up work for the red dress- it's brilliant colour for you!?
I agree , you should dress in your comfort zone. I think the "ditzy" print dress looked the best on you, the others seemed too tight, loved all the prints though. You have good taste!
I liked the red dress on you, lovely bright & fresh colours for summer. At home only i tend to wear shorter dresses especially when hot weather.I am 70 so it works for me.
I'm a day late Caroline away for the weekend now the first 2 dresses I loved on you very flattering I know you were not comfy in them I think you shld look back on the video again just to see yourself in them the short one I thought was not too short on you mabe a little big on the top if there is some letting down in the hem you might feel better about it .I loved the podcast last week im delighted ur goin back to doin it every week thank you Caroline for sharing this one ❤
I feel the blue looked best on you out of all the dresses 👗 😍
Love your heart top Caroline. Do you mind telling me where it was from xx
Hiya, it's from Shein :)
I really liked you in the green print. Also you are looking younger are you still using your light mask?
Thank you. I haven't used it since we came back from Greece, got out of the routine, but I definitely plan to get back to using it daily again.
Still liked you on the first one best .. I think may be if it’s a tad smaller round the middle , it’s probably more how it “feels” rather than looks. I agree you have to feel comfortable! Lovely haul though ❤️
Morning Caroline, Oh I love the short lilac one for myself, but I wouldn't pay £27 for it, I find Dotty P's are quite expensive. I liked the pink dress on you. Have a lovely weekend, we have gorgeous sunshine here in Berkshire 💕
Same here, absolutely glorious. Long may it last!
When will the designers stop using elastic and puffed sleeves. Ok on a younger person not for older people. I am 75 and fed up with the difficulty of buying clothes without looking too young or too old!
1st dress red with daisy print, 1 size bigger
looks fabulous on you
it's your colour
I don't like lilac colour dresses on you
I liked the pink one ,it looked very smart on you.X.
Good morning x that green dress was gawjus x lol Evans have some quite inexpensive dresses, I've ordered six,for hols, God bless ❤
Well done for going out of your comfort zone, what a shame the lilac was too short as it's so pretty and such a good colour on you
Hi, can o ask where you got your wedges your wearing in this video??
Hi Gwen, they are from Dune
@@CarolineMrsM thank you for replying, are the new season or an older purchase?
A couple of years ago, but they had some very similar ones in, if not the same, a month or so ago :)
Could you wear leggings under the shorter lilac dress? It looks great on you!
Yes, send them back Caroline. You have to go with what YOU are comfortable with, no one else. I know we are all sometimes encouraged, to step outside our comfort zone and bravo for doing just that. But you know you, better than anyone else. 🥰
I like the colour of the last dress on you Xxx❤
The second last dress was nice
MRS. M. YO
YOu have such a sense of your own style! These dresses are no for you. ❤😊
Your makeup looks lovely so fresh, what products did you use?
Thank you. It's my new favourite foundation, this one rstyle.me/+Jw3aTj4dfC8d7wJZJBO2BQ *
The only dress I liked on you was the red ditzy one it really looked lovely .
No - not for you on this occasion - nor for me by the look of the cut. Pretty prints.
Good morning, some noce styles there, but not for those of us with a belly.
The lower half of the lilac ruffle dress was nice but the top, my goodness looked like a grannie nightie.
I think the best one was the busy red, it fell nicely.
The problem was the shearing at the back on a couple of them.
A tea dress is a nice look, they just need to be designed to accommodate curves.
Have a lovely Sunday. 😊
Love the fact that you are always so honest, you have great style and know what suits you, i did love the first dress on you, maybe a size up if that wouldnt be too big in other areas. My tummy is my worst part, and always do a sit down test, need a bit of extra material there to ruffle over the bulges
Well at least you tried, just didn't work this time. Hope you are enjoying the sunshine.
I did love the red/pink ditsy print on you. I loved the style on you but of course if you don’t feel comfortable, then let it go!
Too bad none worked!! That happens to me all the time!! Disappointing, the first was pretty and I liked the next to the last one best. Thanks for sharing!!
I’m with you Caroline. I prefer a loose fitting dress Much more comfortable. I hate it when my lumps and bumps are on show.
No the lilac does not do you justice
Well that's a blast from the past - used to buy lots at Dorothy Perkins as a teenager! Some nice prints, but the fit was definitely off.
Im glad you mentioned about the lack of paperwork in the bags because i ordered a few things from M&S recently & i have no idea how to send a return.... Any advice please?
It may seem strange at first but it is really easy. Log into your M&S account. Go to your last order. Click on the image/garment you wish to return and an option to return comes up. Click on whichever is easiest for you. Personally I live very near our Post Office so that is what I choose. Then a qr code comes up which you can either print off or save as a screenshot to your phone. Parcel your item/items up no paperwork or label required. Take to Post Office and they scan and print a label off, stick it on and send it off. The information contained in the qr code will also have your order number in it so your return is in your account in a few days. Once you get used to it, it is amazingly simple.
Keep the text receipt
@@lyndawigby4001 thankyou! Knowing my luck I'm probably past the return date!
I thought the second to last one was the best on you. The colour of the last one was lovely, but no, you don’t live life facing on to people and not sitting down!😂. I have to say, I loved your hair in this video! I think it is really flattering when your hair is off your face - you have such beautiful skin. I wish I could wear my hair off my face but I have a very pronounced widows peak!! It looks very odd when I try.🤣
I didn't like any . Was it the elastic ? maybe
Please don't take offence at this message Caroline, I just wrote what came into my head as you tried on each dress. I'm not being nasty critical just venting my thoughts. I like the way you have tried on dresses that are as you say "out of your comfort zone" and I really think that you suit some straighter less loose type dresses.
Here goes....
red dress needs size up but looks nice on you,
animal print not flattering at all,
flowery dress looks like curtains,
lilac short dress too young for you,
tiny print red dress looks lovely on you,
polka dot looks too small.
Maybe some would look better in a size up and generally I think the straighter look is flattering on you. Thankyou for showing us what the shops have in this summer as I have to shop online and it's good to see a real person trying things on. Hope I haven't upset you it's not what I intended. xx
You haven't - ten years on CZcams has had the side effect of growing an extremely thick skin where comments are concerned!
@@CarolineMrsM 🥰
I like the last but one 🎉 please could you do a Roman originals haul sometime xx
Hi Lorrane, Roman don't really do my size. Most of their stuff only seems to go up to 20 and the bits I've tried that they do do in bigger sizes are not cut for plus sized women, in my opinion. My mum loves their stuff, though. x
@@CarolineMrsM aww that’s a shame, Thankyou anyway x
I feel your pain! I’ve just sent a whole order back to one of my go-to online shops. 😢❤️
Good for you taking on viewers comments and trying a different dress style. Like you said, only you knows what you feel nice and comfortable in. Agreed with all your views on how the dresses fitted but I did think the last one’s colour and pattern was lovely on you but in a different style? I always try the sitting down test when I’m trying on clothes at home. Not many shop dressing rooms have a bench to do this in store though. Keep looking for that perfect dress!
Hi Caroline, absolutely agree they were lovely prints but sadly not great fits! Best always.
Thanks for sharing
I used to like DP liked first one the best but no good if you feel
Uncomfortable 🌸
Morning Caroline, not a good haul all the dress did not do any thing for you as you said all going back I do think for every day dresses are on the expensive side I find m&s are my go too as iv got older just wish they did not all seem to be high neck lines I end up putting a v neck into most of my dresses like you I love a v neck much more appealing to a bigger bust as long as its not too low you made my laught when you said granny milkmaid to the biger print dress I have always steared away from big prints as I do think they are ageing I think I'll give Dorothy perkins a miss but thank you for the vlog 😊 ❤😊 🤗
Hi Caroline. Lovely dresses, however appreciate you need to feel comfortable in what you wear. Would some smoothing, as opposed to shape wear help. Going off topic thank you for the tip of cutting tubes horizontally to get every bit of product out. I have just managed to get 5 more applications of my favourite hand cream out of a supposedly empty tube x
Brilliant, it's amazing how much is left in there, isn't it?!
I totally agree re straighter ones and sitting down is the real test of dresses I agree none of them were for you really x
Shame you didn't find anything you really liked, but thanks for sharing the video. I bought a couple of DP dresses a few years ago that I really love and have worn loads. Since then, though, everything I've tried hasn't been as good.
We have comfort zones for a very good reason! The first dress was too small. So often when I look at dresses, especially dresses, I wonder who on earth they were designed for!
That red dress (2ND TO LAST) is SOOO FLATTERING ON YOU! Shame you sent it back 😞. Funny how we get ideas in our head but it’s not always what others see…
Hi Caroline, the pink empire line dress looks lovely on you, in my opinion the lilac/pale blue made you look too pale, I hope I didn't offend you
Not at all!
My favourite was the green leopard print, but I think that was mainly because of the pattern and colour. I thought it looked very nice on you, but I understand about you not being a fan of the neckline.
I loved the first dress on you too Caroline but as I have the same body type as yourself I understand that you would not feel comfortable in it as neither would I. It’s not just about comfort it also about practicality. Who would want to wear a dress that feels too tight and makes you uncomfortable to sit down in ❤
Milk maidy granny 😂😂
I actually like the. Second dress love the print.first dress lovley.Need to feel comfortable.
Lilac colour suits you.
not this one(red fitted)
Some lovely colours on you especially the polkadot dress although the fit is not to your taste. Cannt win them all Caroline lol.xx
How disappointing for you but if you don’t give it a try you will never know👍🏻❤️
I agree with all you said you should listen to yourself when shopping I don't do very straight dresses very important to always do the sitting down test.None of the dresses suited you O have seen much better to be honest.
I think that lilac and the blue of the last dress are fab on you colourwise. Shame the dresses themselves didn't suit you . I find if you don't love it don't buy it because you will not wear it. Love your videos.
Yes, I agree that you have to feel that the dress will make you look nice otherwise don't buy. Could you order the first one in the next size up to give more wiggle room round the tummy area? It looked nice on you.
I agree Caroline, not for you these dresses, our comfort zones are there for a reason!! X
Who owns dp now would hate to give that man anymore money after what he did to all those workers and high st .
Boohoo.com own it now, according to Google, they bought it from Arcadia when it collapsed
Very disappointing for you but no good buying for the sake of it. I also dislike all the shirring they seem to be using ona lotof dresses this year (not just Dp).
Hello Caroline. Shame about the haul. Like your video's, you're very real if you know what I mean.
Sorry, not a very good haul this time.
Not your best haul Caroline. We don't need to listen to othets as we know our own bodies. Better luck bext time.
