Wicked mate, made respect for printing the whole thing in pieces.
Thank you very much, next time ill try to print more parts together in one print, it saves a lot of sanding time :)
I have so much respect for you due to all the extra work you had to do since it was printed in so many pieces. Nice job, man!
Thank you so much for your comment! It super nice to see the support!
I’m printing the same files right now! I’m on 2/18 printing right now!
lol same, on 8/18 right now
Damn, crazy print man!
Thank you very much!
where i get your visor
what glue do you used?
What 3d printer are you using?
Echt mooi gemaakt
Thanks bro!
I just started this EXACT same helmet, in the same amount of pieces that you are.. Great work! Its gonna be a lot to do; but worth it. I'm using an ender 3, so I don't have a lot of bed space :/
Good luck! My best tip would be is there are pieces you could print together attached to each other do it, it saves a lot of sanding time after
Bro same, leveling the bed is legit pain

ADD PRIMER BEFORE PAINTING AND AN OVERCOAT AFTER PAINTING
@@anandpatel3468 I used a white primer, did an overcoat a while after making this video but still thanks :)
@@StarNestEngineering nice! Honestly it’s so cool man! Yours looks really cool!
This is soooo cool! I was thinking of trying the same print and was wondering roughly how long printing all the pieces took total. Also was there a specific kind of sand paper and glue you used?
Thank you very much for your comment! Later today i will check the printing time for you, but for sandpaper i just used normal ones u can get everywhere. For glue i used superglue, maybe not the best because it sticks really fast so thats kinda stressfull.
quick question as a new beginer in the 3d printing hobby what grid of sand paper is best for the part where you glue the parts together
Thanks in advanced :D
Sorry for the late reply, something like 150 grit paper
can i have one? cuz it's so cool!!!
Maybe I will sell some helmets later, would you guys be interested?
How big is the helmet? Is big enough to wear it? Because in the web of the model ur using it says that the hole in the bottom is small to fit your head
Yeah I realised that very soon hahah, but I didnt really make it for cosplaying just for having it for fun
What did you use for visor piece?
It was some kind of faceshield wich i spraypainted on the inside so i still had a shiny surface.
Hey man I was wondering what type of printer u have
And how do u brake the helmet up and how do u brake it up in parts
That was printed on a prusa mk3, but now in my most recent video i was using creality k1 max. The model i used was broken up like that
@@StarNestEngineering thank u man love your work could u do more Star wars
what software are you using? and what percent is your supports at?
It was Prusa Slicer, to be honest iI don't really know but if i had to print it again I would use the new organic tree supports, will save you a lot of material and you end up with a cleaner print.
@@StarNestEngineeringThank you
what grit sandpaper did you use?
I don't really remember but I started with something like 120 grit and went finer from there.
@@StarNestEngineering omg tysm
What material did you use for the visor?
I used a see trough face shield, wich I spray painted a bit on 1 side.
@@StarNestEngineering oh thank you
@@YoGurtYG No problem! Are you building a helmet too?
@@StarNestEngineering I can only do 3D modeling for now but I have a dream to buy a 3D printer soon and enter this field.
@@YoGurtYG Go for it, it is worth trying!
Are these files available somewhere?
Thingy verse (by killonious)
were the files for this from galactic armoury?
I found mine on thingiverse : www.thingiverse.com/thing:2718242/files
ohh yeah im currently printing a remix of that which has a wider hole at the bottom because i don't want to do the faceoff mod
@@VuddyProductions Yeah I did not show it in the video, but my head doesnt fit in it because of the bottom hole XD. I didnt mind that much because I just have as a cool object
@@StarNestEngineering you could try the face off mod, where you cut the face out so you can get your head inside and then put it back on
@@VuddyProductions Yeah thank you, I will take a look at it
Could you print this in one go?
I have a different printer now than the one that I used in this video, now I could do it in 1 go
@@StarNestEngineering I just got the neptune plus 4. New to this so going to try to print this in one go but didn't know if this was possible or not
@@genises200 Alright, good luck on your print and let me know how it went!
Btw are you printing this helmet or a different one?
@StarNestEngineering I think I'll give this one a try tomorrow? Have this one and I think another I'm looking at
