I lost the love of my life nearly 6 years ago ...I'm never quite comfortable just with myself ...rock painting really helps my mind wander on color and form ..I've learned blending is my friend lol...ignore the snarkers I think they maybe jealous. 💜

How sad are people criticizing you,take no heed, you have no idea how much you help people including myself,when my granddaughter died i so needed something that i could do for her when tending her grave and i can add your stones which provides me and her big brother with so much comfort. i would love if you could actually show me how to do a stone with the word granddaughter on its the only one i havnt got . Rachel.. ignore the haters. They are dust in the wind..blow them off. Know that your tribe (me included) find your work, especially the madellas, are breath-takingly beautiful! They are a unique work of art! You inspire us, uplift us, give us the courage to do new things and stretch our boundaries. And, if we can come close to doing something as beautiful, the sense of accomplishment can carry over in other areas of our lives as well. I find it a form of meditation..a time where we become the creators. Your contribution cannot be understated, and you voice and your laugh are lyrical, comforting and I love listening to you talk..you are not obligated to please everyone, and I find it offensive and childish that anyone would criticize anything you do. Hey Rachel, You really have helped me and my 98 year old mother. Especially during this pandemic. I saw your dragonfly tutorial and was floored. I followed your tutorial and made one the best I could. I gave it to my mom on her last b-day. That encouraged her to start trying to make mandalas. Gives her a creative outlet. I've been painting rocks, with my grandkids, that we find on the Lake Michigan shores, for several years now. We paint most to hide, and bring joy to others. The really good ones that I paint, my grandkids force me to hold onto. Some of them, I've given as gifts. Rock painting is very soothing and helps bring the talents of my grandkids out. As they've gotten better, their self esteem has also gotten better.

jerks, they're just jealous that they can't paint as beautifully as you do! You always thank those of us who follow you and make nice comments, but I have to say that YOU have inspired me to paint better. I have learned so much from you, just watching your videos. I'm 76 yrs. young and I've always been a home artist and crafts person. But when I got older, especially after I retired, I just let it all go and did almost nothing. But about a year ago, I re-discovered Pinterest and you. I watched one of your videos and I was hooked! Now I spend every day in my little studio (a 2nd bedroom at my daughters house), and I'm always doing some kind of craft or painting. So a BIG THANK YOU TO YOU for giving me a reason to get up on the morning!
A FEW YEARS to feel comfortable in making a video on this! A FEW YEARS shows def commitment to self learning which is rare on any level. Be it painting rocks, playing a chord on an instrument, perfecting that recipe to your liking even if your a terrible cook, or anything that others might view as not worthwhile, worthy of xtra thought because it’s just not their thing or whatever. But I understand what your saying.
I love your tutorials. I’m 63 yrs old & I’ve been collecting rocks for a few yrs now and now I can use some of your ideas for painting on them because it’s hard for me to come up with ideas of what to paint on my own. I haven’t tried this one yet but I’ve painted some owls using your tutorial. Of course they don’t look exactly like yours or exactly like each other but I’m very happy with them!. I’m going to try this one next! Thank you so much for sharing your awesome talent & your laughter too! It’s beyond me why people feel the need to make nasty comments when nothing is personally addressed to them. If they don’t like something they should feel free to move on!

I suffer from depression and osteoporosis. I'm always in pain. Sense I started painting with you it made such a difference in my life. It help to focus on something rather than me. You have helped me tremendously. You got me back into crafting. I had been blocked creatively for over a year...since the death of my dad last year. Following your tutorials for rocks got me into painting tiles as well. And I have slowly been working on a memorial tile for my dad. Rachel, I recent!y !earned dotting, mandala & rock painting & I love it so much. I didn't think I could do any of it, as my hands are no longer steady, but after dotting my first rock, it felt wonderful just to be able to complete it! I wish there was more time in the dat, as I usually wait until all my other chores are done before starting my next project. I saw The Seed of Life done on YT for the first time & tried to start one, but had a hard time with the circles, so that rock sits uncompleted. Your instructions & kind words of encouragement have given me new confidence to finish that rock, so thank you for all your help & your rocks are all beautiful!! MSM is chalk full of criticism & so called know-it-alls, so I wouldn't blame you for giving it back. Who needs them!

I feel for you. In 2016 we moved out of the big city, Denver to a small town on the eastern plains. Best move ever!! But it was about 2 hours one way and we had lived at Denver house for 11 years. So it was sad, happy, stressful and mind boggling. You can do it!! I believe in you!! You are awesome!! ❤

Don't let the online negativity get to you. Honestly, once you begin to really understand how someone treats you has more to do with them, and their spiritual development, than it does with you, it becomes easier to not let their ugliness sink in.
Even if we assume someone actually has a valid critique, if they feel the need to express themselves in an ugly way, that says a lot about them.
Do you, and ignore the haters.

I have two special needs kids one with cerebral palsy 14 she’s wild and crazy and my other one is 7 with autism and she’s a spitfire. Your art has made my art better. I paint mostly landscapes etc. also I have ADHD and it helps with my stress. but now I do rocks painting it’s fun. And I love ur laugh 😂 hope ur day is fabulous

After a rock painting workshop hosted by the town I live in, I began looking into painting more rocks. Your videos are quite inspiring and have given me the incentive to try painting more. I have a friend who volunteers with the Gold Star Mission in Illinois and I got the idea to paint a couple of rocks with Gold Stars on them for the Gold Star Mission to auction or give away as prizes. She sent me a photo of their logo and asked me if I could paint that. I told her I could and she said "Great, we need 40 of them by next year." They are going to have the cyclists each carry one of them on their 500 mile bicycle ride through the state and have the name, rank, and date of death of a lost soldier on the back of the rock and then hand them out to any family member they meet during their ride.

And , yep, we can’t absorb the negativity of toxic people. My sister always criticizes and puts down my work, but when I did an octopus on a stone ( who knew rock painting could be so fun) she wanted 5 or 10 theme scenes. Asked me what I used for paint. I told her paint from $ store as it is more fluid. Proceeded to say I got to have the fun doing the painting with my $ store paints, while she was paying me. (I was charging her peanuts.) I am amazed how her nasty comments minimize all our research, investment, time, and all our art supplies. But we know we are having fun, therapy, friends, etc. thank you. You are awesome.
You have inspired me tremendously! I have zero paintbrush experience but my finger sponges have arrived, my brushes are snipped and curled and I have thick black paper to practice on. I am so excited to combine my dotting with all your great ideas! I bought your firefly stone because I simply had to have one of your pieces. You are an art celebrity and I am a just a huge cheesy fan! I won’t be trying this one for a bit, but you have so many other simple ones it will be hard to choose where to start. Maybe the hot air balloon.🎈

There will be nasties wherever you go but the majority of humans are very enjoyable. Think of the nasties this way......do you have to look at them when you first open your eyes? Are they literally paying your bills out of their pocket? If not, then try to move on. I know how hard that is as I used to take them a little too serious. There were times I was in tears. Always find a positive thought to offset the negative. There is ALWAYS a positive. Soon, their comments or actions won’t hurt so much, if at all. You deserve better. Love you friend! ☮️ 😘

I love your stones...you have such a steady hand. I wish I did. I did your lady bug and I used red glitter. It turned out beautiful. I work at a Tractor Supply and I took it in and showed it around everyone loved it. I hid it in the store for someone to find now their waiting for the next one.
