Great video. I have the same vehicle and absolutely fell in love with the ride!! After watching your previous videos, it gave me the confidence to own one, regardless of all the online threads about how expensive they are to fix. After watching this video I will be doing the same to mine. Where did you send your ECU’s to be programmed? Thanks for the vids, keep posting!!
Great vids sir! Subscribed! Looking forward to the next vid! I have a '06 V10 I picked up last year with a R50 tune from Celtic and DPF delete etc. It's a beast! Would be interesting to know about that free flow muffler - there has gotta be a big improvement with both sound and mileage? BTW I am planning to install Oil Catch Cans and what's your opinion and any plans?
I'm curious on the mileage as well, definitely has a bit more power after the tune. I'll get another video of the sound up here in the near future. A catch can of some sort would probably be beneficial. My chargepipes were oil filled as well.
The plug will be addressed on the way back up with it. Good paying attention on that. No timing chains in these. They are gear driven on the back side, really neat setup.
i wish so bad i have a garage to drop my v10 and clean it up :( the intake manifold inner diameter has been cut in half due to sludge buildup. tandem pump leaked all over mine just like yours. dpf's are clogged beyond hope and i can't seem to get the nuts off the studs on the flange. can't even get a cutting tool in there. send help, or beer :(
Great videos! Can you please provide us with a parts list for tubing? I just bought a two-owner 07 with 126K and brand new turbos and a bunch of other new stuff. I want to keep my turbos healthy by doing this and it appears that both Tunemyeuro and Darkside DPF delete pipes do not delete the cat just downstream of the turbos. Thanks and keep producing V10 TDI content!
If you haven’t made yours up yet, I used: 2 2” 90s, 2 2”-2.5” adapters, 1 2.5” 90, 6 2.5” 45s, 2 2.5” flex’s and then sensor bungs. It’s very tight so I’d recommend test fitting before welding.
@@LostCauseRanch Thanks for responding to my email, Joe. I'm just going to have to watch your video, take screenshots and take it to my exhaust guy. Tunemyeuro's price for the downpipes that don't even include a cat delete is criminal.
Let’s see a 0-60. It looks like there’s a V10 TDI Touareg local to me for sale. Are they a PITA for maintenance? I don’t have a shop or tools to work on cars😐
Bon OK c'est intéressant mais pourquoi tu te mets à parler en criant ? ?!! C'est la mécanique qui nous intéresse pas le gars qui fait un show comme si il annimé un jeu à la TV !! MERCI BEAUCOUP !!😅
Oh yeah, just what I was waiting for.
I figured you would be excited. Thanks again for watching!
@@LostCauseRanch I’m sure the EPA is watching too, LMAO. Probably shouldn’t, uh, detail too much about deletes.
Unregistered and off road use only haha.
love it! im looking to buy one of these!
They are neat, get the best one you can afford. They can be pretty maintenance heavy. Thanks for the comment!

Awesome. Glad to hear that! I had SSP tuning do the ecus. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome job man. Please do a 0 to 60 mph comparison first. I can't wait for the next part!
So far 1-0 for the 0-60. Thanks for the comment! It should be fun!
Plug them bad boys in and lets see it go.
Nice video and will consider this upgrade.
Mine is similar... Oil leak needs an engine out, check everything and replace any hoses (234k). At least it won't rust.
How many bolts are on the catalytic converter brackets? I’m currently fighting to remove these things

Pamper your transmission as the R50 transmission was modified to handle the extra torque and hp.
Cool!
What about the Transmission leaking plug. Also would now be the time for new trimming chains ?

Joe, any chance you'd be willing to make another set of those downpipes for me?
I never made a jig on them so it’s not really feasible for me to do another set.

Also, frankly, I'm shocked that you don't have more subscribers. Your content and personality are a godsend.
Appreciate the kinds words!

We will do that at some point for sure. I personally would be leery on them maintenance wise. When something goes wrong it can be intensive.
The company that did your ecu's, can they guns one out of a v8 touareg?
Thanks
Where is your location please
Put me down for the exhaust comparison.
Got it! They will both get done eventually.
@@LostCauseRanch Do you know if you're still on the original cams and lifters?
0-60
Sounds like that is what everyone wants! Thanks for the comment.
Hi, where did you did your remap?
Where did you get your ECM’s tuned?
how much did you get for the cats?
I don’t remember exactly as it’s been awhile. They were sold with a bunch of other ones we had. I want to say hi t was just shy of $1000
