Can Mudrock Solo Harold EX-8 CM?

Normal mode is an extremely easy 2 op clear (tons of placements and skill cycles work). CM opening in contrast is very difficult (both the condition and 1.2x stats make it much harder). It was an interesting challenge that made me use niche mechanics like lighting heaters after Harold casts heal to buy more heater time, and resetting enemy attack intervals by lighting heaters for more Penance SP.
Unfortunately there is no way to beat phase 2. 1.2x stats means Penance can't solo the mobs, and there's no room to play around with the second phase strategy. Furthermore, even if I did kill all the mobs, Harold can only be tanked by using Mudrock S3, but this means I can't guarantee Icicle rain when Mudrock S3 is off CD. In NM without 1.2x ATK Mudrock easily tanks Harold Phase 2 (CM Phase 1 hits harder than NM Phase 2) and her auto attacks do large amounts of damage (CM has 1.2x DEF)
In CM, Mudrock does about 30x more damage to the boss on skill compared to offskill, so naively the probability that Harold will drop icicle rain from Mudrock normal attacks is less than 3%, which needs to happen 3 times in a row for a ~0.0027% chance of success. But there are a couple minor degrees of freedom that can be tweaked that might increase the odds: Mudrock can slightly adjust the timing of her S3 depending on the number of shields, and Penance can do min damage auto attacks on Harold. Furthermore, the number of shields has some variability since Harold will sometimes do a ranged attack as Mudrock wakes up (this is a 1/3 probability). Without exhaustively testing all possibilities and excessively spread sheeting Harold's HP, it's hard to say it's impossible, but I can't defeat the mobs anyways. If I could I'd have to consider whether or not I want to grind 40 minute runs exploring all the possibilities knowing that there's less than a 0.05% chance (accounting for potential cycle adjustments and Penance autos and rounding up) that a winning solution even exists and that's just uegh.
Anyways I just added Blemishine and called it a day. Normal mode is too easy since Harold can't get past Mudrock anymore and her autos easily chip him down, while Penance trashes on all the mobs.

For those wondering this opening is fairly tight in timings and I couldn't replicate it again in 10 attempts so I took Kaltsit and Skalter to simulate the ending and see if it was possible (No simulations means Phase 2 takes 27 minutes to start. I hate using ops to simulate parts of clears but I gave up, it's too much torture)
Penance clearly doesn't have enough HP and DPS to kill the last two spray cans so I gave up and added Blemishine
For lower stars you can use Firewhistle and win somewhat easily. I couldn't be bothered because it affects such a minor part of what is practically a 2 OP
A 4* defender would require actually charting out the possibilities of Harold Icicle spreadsheets. Too lazy especially since again, there's so little changes from a 2 op

Really respect all the hard work in trying to make the 2 op work, but seeing Blem come in to save the day puts a smile to my face >:D
Mudrock is a godsend against that annoying boss. She’s literally the only reason I cleared that stage at all.

Saw a 2 op where mudrock s2 did tank all of both phases, but it definitely required the Ling to keep lights up, and also the fact that ops just stop freezing after like 10 minutes.
Hated this stage, either way. In hindsight I probably should've used mudrock but instead I used Nian with 4 sources of healing and some damage resist and she Still died to getting smacked right before the win.

I've had Eunectes stall Harold but with the help of Shamare Roberta and Silence alter. Gotta go and try Mudrock, I doubted her this time it turns out she can.

Not only does Mudrock seem to prevent being ever frozen again, Blemishine straight up doesn't even get the cold icon above her head?
Surely it's not because Frigid as a stage mechanic just outright stops properly working if enough time has passed?

My Mudrock isnt maxed. Whats happening here? How is Mudrock surviving Harold on melee? Is Harold attack speed so low that Mudrock can refresh her passive shield?
How many minutes did it take you to stall Harold?
My first legitimate phase 2 attempt took 27 minutes
mudmud saved my hardmode run, i did bring her just to fill the last spot and she actually saved my sanity from the last mobs ( the boss died taking everyone else with him)
Is s3 7 good enough
You need to supplement Penance with extra damage somewhere or Mudrock with extra survivability
