I am bias when i say i always pick Kandarin, the early game skilling there just reminds me of the good old days before the beer gut set in.

Though I'm also considering swapping out Asgarnia for Fremennik to try for a Soulreaper Axe build, depending on whether there's a low-health relic competing with Weapon Specialist (which I suspect there will be).
@@sk8rdmanBefore you make that entire decision based on the Soulreaper Axe, it was confirmed that Jagex is making any of the DT2 bosses capable of dropping all axe pieces on a rotation. Like the Bludgeon at Abyssal sire. You dont need Fremmenik unless you want the rings.

@@davidray2682 Yeah, I'm aware of that change. Otherwise the axe would be impossible to get since it would require 4 regions.
My reason for switching to Fremmenik for the axe is that the Leviathan can't be fought with melee, and the Wisperer is resistant to anything but magic, so if I'm going to power through around 600kc of a DT2 boss with melee, my best bet is to pick Zeah or Fremennik. Frem is much better for melee gear, which mostly compensates for the lost gear from Asgarnia, so it seems to be the best choice for a Soulreaper Axe build.
Trailblazer was sooooooooo much fun last time, this league is going to be sick!
I plan to be making the most out of skilling bosses and minigames this Leagues, and since they involve a lot of running around, the passive Agility xp from Trickster looks like a good fit.
There's also the lvl 28 thieving chest in the Isle of Souls dungeon, and having a zero fail rate on that is huge, to say the least. 👀
Thieving/Agi really aint enough to warrant taking trickster long term, people just got meme'd because all the streamers picked it claiming it was the best.
You were so right on the chest dude, it has some solid drops and dark keys can give a ton of blood runes/etc
Really been enjoying trickster + banker's note, I can break a lot of skills while making money fast to offset no firesale
This is my first league, I've been playing since it started but just saw this video today-I 100% agree that this is the most fun I've had in OSRS since I was a kid. Hats off to Jagex for all this
For fellow mage builders, Tirannwn is a decent choice. Camping out TOA with non-relic range means rcb and d'hide. CG with boosted rates is actually pretty fast to get a crystal setup, and even if you go dry on enhanced, a regular crystal bow with crystal armor is decent dps. You also get access to a ton of crystal shard through trickster elf thieving, you get a mage upgrade in the magic fang while going for shadow, and you get BP to later synergize with masori. Asgarnia is a great option if you will have the time to really camp out content and work toward a ZCB, plus the guaranteed freezing will be amazing for GWD. The downside is that it will require a lot more resources to camp that content where gauntlet doesn't require any inputs.
another good point of trickster: it will make making getting the pets of thieving, chimchumka, and possibly agility, very easy to get.
Didn't even know this was happening until today, thats a nice suprise and a few weeks of entertainment.
I plan on taking the Raid areas, just to get to try all 3 of them out in a more casual way and have fun with it too by crazy relic picking, with a Melee build
Trickster -> Desert first pick -> Rush 91/99 thieving with blackjacking for early money/massive points -> Fremmenik -> Tirannwn (Ranged build with bowfa/Blowpipe/Venator bow). These areas look good to me for skilling aswell as i want max cape (Sandstone + Glassmake spell for Craft, Zalcano + Giant''s foundry for Smith, Kingdom for construction to name a few)

I'm headin to the wildy straight away - Melee relic + Voidwaker seems like it'll be fun in raids 2/3. Plus... revs and the flexibility to pick a cb style dependent on what stuff you've looted by then. Then, idk, maybe desert/kandarin or mory or similar.

@@EliasMheart i wanted to do toa and cox but 2 raids in 8 weeks while working fulltime. I think i'll run out of time trying to learn. I'd need to run with a group that teaches me along the way. Might swap zeah out for fremmy just so I still have some good endgame bossing variety but they're much easier to learn. Undecided, zeah is still insane for mid-game grinds especially farmer (farm guild, tithe farm), firemaking (windertodt), and slayer, and probably heaps more skills.
Going Zeah, Kandarin, Asgarnia. Not a popular choice but leagues is all about fun. Focusing on melee and ranged as a side. Brimstone keys with the boosted drop rates will be a lot of loot as well. Gonna do a LOT of slayer 😈
Ranged build: Desert, Morytania, and Kourend. I've never done any of the raids content and this Leagues I plan on learning all three raids WHILE streaming and recording a series.
Why did you pick morytania for ranged build? I have it as my last pick to learn hmt
@@drak9511 Very simple answer; the group of friends I'm playing with are all rolling these three zones so we can all learn the raids together. Even if my build ends up lacking, none of us really care about being super efficient and we wanted at least 1 of every style. This being said, I may roll an alt account that I meta build specifically for one or two of the raids to learn solo.

Your ranged regions are exactly what I was planning on. I’ve honestly not done much high level content so I thought my entry to solo GWD and raids would be fun in leagues. Plus, Zeah/Desert/Asgarnia leaves good gear for other styles when needed

your magic gear is kinda weak withut torment bracelet and occ neck, but melee is super strong with those regions and honestly ranged relic + melee gear swaps will have you covered almost everywhere in those regions. Like the bolt specs from range is going to melt every boss and melee is only there if you literality cant range something. Which off the top of my head I can't even think of anything you cant range?
Current plans are kandarin, trickster, mage, desert, the training arena, ancient magiks, rune shop, pickpocket being free due to trickster, means that the regions and combination are extremely powerful and have great late game potential

Hahaha I can’t believe I wasn’t subscribed… I am now lol. I’ve had some fun with my first leagues so far. Did very under meta stuff but I am very excited to trying some raids and content I’m nervous to do on my main account. Great job Osrs

Kandarin/Asgarnia/Desert is my pick, because it's correct. Melee relic of course because 2t Fang. My goals are to Max cape, get max gear for my regions, and solo Nex with Fang + Ruinous Powers.
Honestly great video and exactly what I needed!
First time every doing a league or an Ironman. The tasks have been the hardest part knowing where everything is on the map, it's been amazing learning about the game and knowing where everything is, instead of going to the ge to buy what I need.
Killing Dragons is my jam. Asgarnia for GWD and Fremmenik for Vorkath/Lithkren are already locked in in my mind. 3rd pick is leaning towards Morytania for TOB, Barrows, and Sepulchre, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I feel like Barrows has been slept on, even Veracs and Guthans will be pretty mental too

I disagree on the Production Prodigy "con" in that it reduces afk time - I made this mistake last time - you'll still do the AFK stuff , just without endless harvest. Then when it comes time to pay attention, you can instantly process everything you gained while AFKing, and then move on to what you ACTUALLY want to do
Going Mage, planning on Desert, Fremennik, and Asgarnia. Best mix of content I like with mix of content I've been wanting to try, and great upgrades for mage, while keeping solid melee and range options should I need coverage.
Never failing agility OR pickpockets sounds so so good.
That said, my whole plan is to get 99 fishing, do tons of Tempoross, and just BODY Scorpia non-stop, to get that pet. I won’t need prayer pots (Proselyte baby!) but I am going to need a reliable source of anti-poisons…
Maybe it’s dumb, but I’m going for my current main pet grinds (Heron, Scorpia hatchling, and Tiny Tempor). I’m guessing that the boost to drops rates won’t effect pets, BUT, the number of actions doable in the league are gonna get SOME people pets.
Asgarnia, Desert, and Wilderness for me. See ya out there!!

I’m excited, but also sad to see everything being locked away so much! I loved being able to just have fun and play in Shattered Relics, having to immediately choose between double pickpocketing, which was super fun, double resource gathering, which made me actually love mining and fishing, or instant production, which was just amazingly fun, is super sad.
I definitely preferred being able to change relics and combine them in interesting ways.
You will have a ton of fun during this league, don't worry.
Bro you are part of the minority, leagues 3 was sooo tedious. I literally only played for maybe two weeks and in the end just cleaned up enough points to get the rewards I wanted before disappointedly bouncing back to the main game.

Last trail blazer i didnt pick recall and quit on day 2, im so glad its passive this time
don't forget, Production master also works on cleaning herbs so 28 herbs with 25% bonus herbs cleaned into bank, same goes for unfinished potion making ect...
Not sure on unfinished potions. But at minimum you're getting 156% bonus and up to 195 if it works foe unfinished potions

im fairly new to this game and will pick , desert (for the raid to learn it), asgarnia (never did gwd) and tyranwan to learn zulrah and gauntlet never was in priff.. sooo gl to all :D
im still super undecided. last trainblazer I went melee so want to try magic or ranged now. I was 100% set on magic, until I stopped and thought about it, you wont have shadow until very very late into the league unless you get spoon'd it first try. And without shadow, magic is kinda.. bad? Sure it's still x2 better than the base game but a rcb with ruby bolts is going to be like x4 the base game dps so x2 is pretty bad comparively.
Magic with shadow will be so much fun but I'm just not sold on my ability to get it in a reasonable time frame. But rcb and ruby bolts, can probably pull that off during day 2 and by then you're ready to take on endgame pvm.
Undecided on regions beyond desert for masuri (and fang/shadow for good ranged/magic options when needed), and asgarnia (as it gives literality everything). Wanted to try zeah but having 2 raids to complete is a bit too much of a time constraint when I'm inexperienced and work fulltime. Might go fremmy as there's some bosses there I can farm without too much practice. Kandarin and morty I did last time, wilderness doesn't really give anything beyond gold from revs, elf city is decent but I have no intention on using bp/bofa over a crossbow so it doesn't give much other than high lvl skilling methods like zalcano.
So fremmy for easier grinds, or zeah for a second raid and rigour and tbow and an insane amount of mid-game skill training methods.
Have they thought about the 9 logs at once when there’s a shit ton of people in one area all trying to do the same thing? Like how difficult is it going to be to light 3x3 fires consistently?

Leagues always make me think in RuneScape in Steam for solo playing
At first I was stuck between Trickster and the gathering relic. But upon seeing the bank note relic, I feel like that completely nullifies the gathering one. Just note it all yourself
unless banker's note conflicts with another relic you really want. All about the decisions.
Endless Harvest is a solid all rounder relic though, the double resources part is the main selling point in my opinion...
With that said, I'm still really unsure what to pick lol
Trickster is a meme relic considering you dont need agility xp in leagues and firesale totally negates any use for thieving for cash. But Trickster is "best" because "x" streamer picked it
Pretty unfortunate the Bowfa and crystal stuff isn't that good. Gauntlet is so fun I want to do it with league buffs but not at the expense of a whole unlock when it's just not going to be that good. Hopefully theres a relic that gives crystal some crazy buffs maybe

I will pick melee with Asgarnia, Desert and Morytania because I want to give Theatre of Blood and Nex a go. Fang is a safeguard if I don't get scythe.
Leagues brought me back to osrs after 1,5 years
trickster looks the funnest by far, but endless harvest feels like the most balanced pick for anyone not sure on what theyll do
My problem with endless harvest is that banker's note just seems to completely overshadow it. depending on what other relics banker's competes with, I'm almost completely writing off endless harvest
@@jraptamy thoughts exactly. Also, I feel despite being more AFK, it overall cuts your AFK time in half, as the double resources mean you only need half the time to get what you need for processing.
id argue that production prodigy is the most balanced if you are unsure. It affects the most amount of skills. The +12 bonus is something you can't ignore, the other relics don't get it even though they probably should. Being able to stop at like 65 herblore to craft sara brews or even 14 herblore for prayer pots, imagine having prayer pots 2 hours into your account. Assuming botanical pie stacks with the +12 but even if it doesn't, it saves so much grinding. Or like onyx amulet, 90 crafting is now 78 or 73 with +5 boost, thats 3.7 MILLION xp saved. Smithing, same thing, less important for character power but if you don't take Fremmy for blast furnace goodluck leveling smithing, hope you enjoy giants foundry.
It speeds up those 3 skills which are horribly slow for an ironman to train. Cooking is a nice bonus too but its whatever, this one doesn't really save time over endless harvest because you need to gather fish so it's slower overall. Fletching, same as cooking, but still +12 is nice for early rune cbow if hunting the limbs from archaeologist. Also it's 50% more potions made per herb, not much more to say about that.
Endless harvest is honestly kinda pointless. It just means you spend twice as long processing materials as you now gather them twice as fast. And resources you gather through pvm or stuff like zalcano is half as efficient as normal as you can gather them manually faster and using those to get materials is kinda a waste. It becomes insane if you get automatic processing like chop log = x2 chop and x2 instant burn log for double FM and WC xp, same for fishing -> cooking, but that depends on if the relic for it exists. Think it was called infernal tools last time? You'd get clips of people fishing karambwans for 10-20m xp/hr between fishing and cooking.

i am 100% picking trickster for the soul purpose that its the only new option of the start. im a bit torn on regions though. im thinking wildy being one of them but i have no idea what style i want to go for this leagues.
Wildy is a bit weak compared to others unless you have some specific stuff you want. Your combat style will play a big role in your selection, so I would decide on that before selecting where you wanna go. For example, if you want to do a range or melee build you can pretty safely skip kandarin and will likely want asgarnia. However, if you want a mage build, kandarin is kind of a must and asgarnia isn't as necessary.
@Inscipio ya I'm aware, I've played ever leauge that has released. Since this is basically a redo of the first trailblazer I don't want to do the same thing as last time.

I'm thinking of doing a melee build, might have to go Asgarnia, Morytania, and then Zeah. I'm really looking forward to using barrows gear with the melee relic, I think guthans will be sweet for slayer and dharoks will be huge for early bossing
2 tick guthans spear with blood fury and "possible" life drain relic alongside the ruinous life drain prayer lol.
So here is my unpopular opinion. Production Prodigy is the afk relic, Endless Harvest is for those that want to progress faster with less afk time.
Endless Harvest speeds up the most AFK skills making them progress quicker - meaning less overall time to "fish from home".
Production Prodigy takes those semi less afk tasks (stringing bows, making potions, cutting gems) and makes them instantaneous - speeding up the less afk tasks - allowing those who find it difficult to "fletch from home" the ability to slam through these more attention grabbing tasks and jump into more fun content faster (when they have time to "play" the game)

id say melee with prodigy instead of trickster. shards will be more common from killing the vyres
Leagues is about flexibility and having fun. You don't have to play until you get max gear but can play to enjoy things like fletching entire inventories instantly and destroying bosses with the combat buffs. Imagine a 1 tick blowpipe

Why does everyone seem to forget that trickster also makes you NEVER FAIL AGILITY? Unless I'm reading it wrong that means you aren't going to fall you aren't going to get hit by stuff you're just golden
