So true about doing one task over and over again. I have "sessions" when preparing pictures to complete and there are numerous stages to each. I am literally just going through these stages and becoming great at them. I am feeling good now so I am going to get stuck into SEO's, tags etc like a boss. This spreadsheet is something I had earlier. I want all my product (named pictures) in a row so I can track what is happening with each one, specifically the demand, how many are sold. Spreadsheet is a god send for following money and inventory stock and supplies too.

Thank you so much for the video. If you want to track inventory by item code or SKU you can use an inventory management software with barcode scanning capabilities..Simply attached a unique barcode for each unique item and your good to go. Just scan the barcode when an item is sold, and the total units sold and units left per item will be automatically be counted by the software.

The common sense approach you have is impeccable and refreshing. I came here to learn how to use SKUs in association with bar codes for individual part inventory tracking during building my electronics product lines, but as I was listening to you and was about to do more searching, I just couldn't leave because you had some really great SIMPLE concepts that are very effect and can be applied to more the just this particular platform. I do have a question. I am just starting out as a greeting card artist. I do have SKUs for all my designs along with the Series name.
Like PNW-2101 (Pacific Northwest Series)
Now how would I put in a category like for
cards (CD) , art prints (AP) etc.
Would I put product category (product type) before the PNW OR after PNW or before the number.
I have never used Excel do I am not sure what would be best for sorting.

As a crocheter I have as many one offs as I do multiples. (ex, a shawl is typically a one and done vs a blue beanie I may have 10 identical made) and I have been struggling with how to make a SKU that will work for this kind of inventory.... any advice?
