Washington Bowfishing Common Carp

Carp are an invasive species that cause millions of dollars in damage to United States waterways and wildlife. It is encouraged to kill any carp you catch while fishing. States (like Washington) spend millions each year, dumping chemicals into ponds and lakes killing every fish in the pond just to eradicate the carp and prevent their spread. Archery fishing for carp is a far more ethical way of helping rid them from our waters.
We did not dump any carcasses near boat launches or on banks. (Just if anyone was curious) Most of them sank and we popped the air bladders of any carp that did float.
