  • Hi besties!
    This summer I traveled by train to 7 countries over the course of 2 weeks. As this was one of the best trips in my life, I decided to film it and share it with you. 🤍
    This trip was possible thanks to the DiscoverEU program. If you are 18 and a citizen of any EU member state, make sure to check out this amazing opportunity!

    love the vlog, and it's a great idea to see more of a country by doing stopovers in other cities!! I'm hoping to do the DiscoverEU program, and whilst I'm waiting I'm watching videos which are super helpful like yours to get an idea of what the program is like.
    I have a question, when it came to the quiz part of the application process, how did you find it? I know there are 5 questions, and are they easy questions that can be figured out using common sense or does it require having good geographical knowledge? also, was the tie-breaker question where you have to guess a number difficult? (as someone who sucks at geography i'm a bit worried lol)
    thanks in advance, and i love the vlog (and your accent

      answering my own question in case anyone else is curious!!
      the questions were very straightforward, especially since there are links below to find the answer to each question. the april 2024 questions were:
      1. When will the European elections take place?
      2. Where can you find the map of events of the European Youth Week 2024?
      3. Which is the European Youth Capital 2024?
      4. Which are the European Capitals of Culture in 2024?
      5. What is the #EUBeachCleanup?
      The subsidiary question for this round was:
      How many aplicants for this round have their birthday in April?
      hope this helps and good luck

    hi, nice vide, i won the pass this year, i really look forward to do it, but i am confused by the roaming stuff, i am from italy and my provider allows me to use a maximum of 4 gb of internet in roaming outside italy, but that is actually too little, i think that during the trip looking on google maps or using internet in general is almost mandatory (also to let my parents know i am fine) , how did you managed it ? the only option would be to buy a sim card of every country but it would be too expensive for me, thanks in advance

    Wow, I won my DiscoverEU pass this year and I'm so excited!! I'm planning to go for 2 weeks as well and have some questions:
    - how long did you stay in each city/country?
    - how much did you spend? (globally and separately in accommodations and food)
    - which cities do you recommend the most? And in each city, anything in particular to do/see?
    Edit: my parents are concerned about me and my friend (also a girl) travelling alone though Europe, were yours okay with you going? If not, how did you convince them?

      @zosiamat5950  Před 2 lety +3

      Hi! Congrats, I’m sure this will be an amazing experience! We spent one or two nights in each cities and spent max 20 euros per night (accommodation) and 20-25 euros per day (food, gifts, alcohol, museum tickets included ). Our favorite stops were Venice and Zurich, I can send you links to our tripadvisor lists from these on ig:))

    • @zosiamat5950
      @zosiamat5950  Před 2 lety +2

      We were perfectly fine! Just make sure that you behave reasonably and carefully (example: don’t accept drink from strangers, don’t go to dangerous areas (especially important if you want to visit Marseille, this is the only place that we didn’t really feel safe in 100% of the time)) and you will be fine! My parents were a bit worried as well, but I regularly messaged them and sent them the exact routes and lists of hostels and that made it all easier for both my parents and myself.

    Do you think I could apply to the Discover EU programme as I'm from the UK and because of brexit I don't think I can win one? which If I did go interrailing would help me save a bit of money XD Maybe if I went with a friend or someone from another country maybe they would accept that idk. I am thinking of interrailing when I finish college in 2023/2024 so could change by then anyway!

    Hi Zosia, I'm Gülsu (18) from Turkey. I won an DiscoverEU interrail pass this year but I didn't quite understand the includings/contents of what I have won. I'm not quite fimilar to interrail travel, also my English limits me. Can you answer my questions please?
    I learned that the DiscoverEU only gives me transportation ticket. But I don't have enough bucket to pay accommodation and food for myself. Even though, I clicked the option "My parents can't afford this trip" in my application form. My question is "What are they going to give me?". They are saying flex or fix pass or somerthing but I don't understand what they are.
    Also in the application form there was an option saying when would you like to travel and I choose "July 2023". So do I have to go this summer only?
    I'll be pleased if you answer my question. Thank you.
