Hi sweet Chloe! I have some tips on that kind of plant! 👩🏻🌾
That kind of plant is a Geoppertia Ornata (formerly classified as a Calathea Ornata/Pinstripe or but both names are fine to plug into a search and find some tips!) FOR NOW: when in a nature many of these kinds of plants live on the floor of the rainforest and receive dappled/bright indirect sunlight and high humidity. (My plant like this lives in my bathroom with a north west facing window that gets low to bright light throughout the day). Everyone has different setups, so whatever works for you! Just try to create as close to natural environment as possible for you and your space. So maybe leave in the same spot but wipe the leaves more regularly and mist? Make sure its still getting light Also- these plants hate drafty areas. Remember- floor of the rainforest. Haha. Such a nice image. 😌 They like moist, but not soggy, well draining chunky soil. 🌱

Hey Chloe, I am not sure if this is right but my mum who loves prayer-plants said they do better when they have other prayer-plants around! Not sure how it works but hers are thriving- so cute if that's works :)
as far as I know the prayer plant needs the exact opposite of the tip you recieved: the lighter, the better! (still, no direct sunlight though!). Also it needs quite a lot of water - the earth should constantly be damp, but never too heavily watered.
I know, the calathea is the diva of the houseplants but mine thrives when I follow the tips above 😝
Love your vlog, and I'm really happy with the kian earrings. :-) regarding your plant: calatheas love humidity. If your room is not that humid, it can help to spray water on it every few days. Preferably in the morning. Calathea are really fun to do a time-lapse of 24hrs. The leaves move with the day and night. As if the plant goes to sleep at night. Those plants are so fussy!! I have an app called picture this which tells you wants wrong with it. Somehow mine is now thriving, it’s not in any direct sunlight just on top of the fridge but used to get all the yellow spots xxxx

put some used coffe (la marre de cafe) and egg shells in the soil of your plant, it will thrive ^^
