I was hoping that the "artificially inflating prices" would be about the scam that is resort fees and other non-sense that are not included in the room rates.
When you price out a room that should be the walking out the door price. Not Room + resort fees + taxes + cleaning fee, etc.
May also charge pool fees during pool closure months Sept to March. In-season they may slap $200+ for deck chairs / reserved pool lounge, $500 more for private day cabana, inflated food & drink prices in tiny plastic cups + CNF restaurant fees on site excluding surcharges and tips. To rub it in, Stadium Swim at Circa runs a casino with BJ tables poolside. Cop a $$ Fine / Expiation notice or official warning for taking your room towels out to the pool. You can buy the fluffy bed pillow for bargain price of $700 from Bellagio, Venetian / Palazzo & Cromwell Not.
Vegas everything is corrupt through and through. Every dollar spent here fuels the demand for human trafficking. You can come here and see your show but you are helping exploiters make money on humans. Stop spending your money here!
Great update T&D! I miss the older Vegas and its prices...honestly I wouldn't pay $400 to see anyone..let alone $1400. But that's the thing about Vegas...you don't have to and you can still have a great time. Cheers from Wisconsin 🍺
Hotel room prices are definitely an issue and are blatant collusion by the casinos working together to keep prices high and overcharge for parking and hotel fees that are added to the already high hotel room prices.
Right! I was in Las Vegas in September, and parking at Harrah's was $26 plus a tip for the valet!!! The trip before that, it was FREE! Making money is one thing...but gouging is another.
The LED screens aren't going to be the problem with the MSG Sphere. It's going to be ticket prices. It's a 17000-ish seat venue that has cost over $2B to build (and still rising) where artists get a huge up-front fee plus a super-super-majority of the gate. Ticket prices are going to be in the Adele range, if not more. That's fine for the occasional artist, but the Sphere is going to need that U2-caliber artist in there ALL THE TIME to have any chance of recouping the investment.

None of the former stars would make me travel from Europe to Vegas. It is just too expensive, hotels are pricing themselves out of business.

I personally could care less about football or baseball or basketball teams I come to Vegas to gamble and I expect to be taken care of when I’m there when I’m spending tons of money by God you better call me or I won’t be back to your joint they have got so out of line at these casinos to where they don’t want to copy anything anymore I mean it’s got bad it’s all about the money to these people. There’s no service like it used to be.

I lived in Vegas from 1991 to 2008 ... it was very nice then but the ridiculous greed that took over made it lose it's luster for me. I happily returned to the hills of Burbank !!!

You're right, Leonore. I've been traveling to Las Vegas for 30 years, and watched it change into the monstrosity that it is today. In my view, Vegas could have taken another direction and still remained popular. I don't yearn for the old days, but anything would be better than these gigantic cesspools of greed and shallowness.
Your correct nothing stays the same in Las Vegas because gaming companies are looking for new ways to screw customers on a daily basis.
We're going to Vegas in two weeks and I've booked tickets for Tony award winning musical: Six, which will start at Palazzo from March 21st. Great show!

Crazy to think T Swift tickets are more than Madonna.. but also how much Vegas is focused towards certain types of music or groups. Country is obviously not their strong point lol but knowing that in other places the same country tickets are more is crazy to think about

Tropicana is a dump. I used to love the Rio but it will take billions to get it where it used to be. Like a ghost town now. I would never pay to see U2 again. 10 million is ridiculous when there is better entertainment out there.

Ticket resellers are the scam in Vegas. $250 service fees often put tickets over $1000 each. That's rent
I wonder what's going to happen with the lawsuit. Are the hotels going to have to pay fines, are the room rates going to decrease? I haven't been to Vegas in almost 2 years. My friend and I were planning to go see Beyonce in Vegas but we were able to get tixs in our city. It would be really cool to go to a festival or show for a quick trip!
If this is like most other class action lawsuits, then the properties may settle by paying a large amount of cash. The lawyers will get a third of that settlement, the lead plaintiff will get a chunk of it, everybody else who is determined to have overpaid will get a small fraction of what they overpaid. This entire thing will likely take years to pay out, so I wouldn't be surprised if guests at the MGM, Caesars, Wynn, and TI during that time get a $3 back for each night that they overpaid. And that check will arrive in the next 24 months. If they decide to fight this, the process will take even longer.

Me and My partner have recently returned back to the UK from our Vegas trip and we loved it! Returning again with friends this time in a few months! Unfortunately though, we were confronted with some racism near the end of our holiday (we are a interracial couple also). “Cream and Chocolate don’t mix here in vegas” completely ruined the day for us. Can I ask, is this a on going thing happening over there or do you think we were just really unlucky? (Happened on the strip)

It’s cheaper for me to fly out from the uk to see Madonna in vegas rather than see her here in London. Ridiculous!
I’m from the east. I’ve seen hundreds of concerts in the east and the sound is impeccable. I have seen five shows in Vegas. Four of them were absolutely horrible sound wise I saw the killers on New Year’s Eve. You could not make out the words. I was 15 feet from the lead singer and couldn’t hear or understand a word. The back up singers were 20 feet from me and I never heard them once. What is wrong with Vegas sound and why are people paying to go hear this garbage. I saw Chicago at the Venetian, and to my relief the sound was good. There was a little bit of a problem on the super high end at the end of the show but overall I gave it at 9.9. All the other shows I’ve seen I wouldn’t even give them two out of 10. What in the world is wrong with these Engineers? You pay top dollar for crap!!!

Love that Oakland As is gonna move to Vegas. They deserve better and they are finally getting what they rightfully deserve. Oakland is a craphole. As are a great team. Great team deserves great city. Team with 9 titles but yet, even with great baseball management under Billy Beane, their financial struggles has kept them down and limited.

I can list so many players As lost due to financial hardship. If they had lot of money and had they done what Padres are doing right now and keep their players, while As having top tactical, eclectic baseball management office , I can guarantee you, As wouldve won minimum 2 titles past two decades. And thats even me underappreciating As. Prolly even more than 2 titles. Time for As to leave Oakland. As deserve better.
