Carole, Lisa and Stevie think that Max’s blossoming relationship with Deborah is sweet. Even though Deborah is a career-minded, urbanite who despises horses and anything remotely rural, she and Max are living proof that opposites attract. The girls do their best to coach Max, the hopeless bachelor, as he prepares for his date with Deborah - doesn’t he realize he can’t wear a plaid work shirt to a fancy restaurant like Pangaea? And as much as they love horses, Deborah might not appreciate her date smelling like one. The girls’ coaching works a little too well - Max is head over heels. It seems he’ll do anything to make Deborah happy - even sell Pine Hollow. The girls come up with a new plan - break up the happy couple at all costs! Their plan works, but when the girls see how miserable Max is without Deborah, they realize that his happiness is more important than any stable. Playing cupid, Carole, Lisa and Stevie scramble to repair the damage they caused - reuniting Max and Deborah, only to discover that Max never had any intention of selling his beloved Pine Hollow.
Based on the series of popular books for young readers, The Saddle Club follows the lives of three aspiring equestrians developing their riding skills at Pine Hollow Stables. Each of the girls has assorted personal baggage: Tomboy Stevie's impulsive nature gets her into constant trouble, Carole rides to overcome a family tragedy, and Lisa is an overachiever with a social-climbing mother. Despite their problems (and the schemes of a spoiled rich rival, Veronica), the girls' love of horses and strong friendship with one another is always enough to help them overcome any obstacle.

This show set insanely unrealistic expectations on what a stable would be like.... when I got my mare I had her at a riding stable and it was full of bratty girls who were so stuck up 😂😂.. within a year I brought my horse home to my own farm and I’m so happy I did. I may ride alone but it was better then being surrounded by girls who just aimed to make everyone around feel like they sucked... that was when I was 12 and now I’m 24 and still don’t keep my horse At a riding facility. 😂
